Back to work

Tomorrow is my first day back to work. I am a FTM my DD is 14 weeks old. I am starting a new job and really really sad about leaving my daughter for 8hrs tomorrow. I guess I'm just looking for some encouragement that it will be ok and we will survive from moms that have been through this! TIA!

    It will be difficult for a little as it is a big change, having a baby is a big change. But it does get easier and you will get into a swing of it.

    It does get easier.... and then you get to the point where you don't think about LO for a certain amount of time and then you feel guilty for that lol! I found the anticipation worse than the actual return.

    I am 6 mos in and still find it hard, altho much better than it was in the beginning. I think once you get into a good routine you feel much better about it. As long as you are happy and comfortable with your childcare sitiuation its not as bad as you think. Use your vacation and days off to spend QT with your little one. You can do it!

    The anticipation is worse than actually returning. Try to think of all the positive reasons you are working. Financial stability, insurance, drinking a hot cup of coffee while checking your email, eating with two hands, etc.

    I'm not going to lie, it took me a while to get back into the swing of things. It gets easier with time. Hang in there girlie!

    There will be an adjustment for both of you but eventually you'll find your groove. Stay positive!

    (HUGS), my first week back to work I focused on getting spun up on what I had missed and between that and taking pump breaks, I stayed very busy. It made the day go fast and I didn't have much time to feel sad. Good luck on your first day back!
