Back problems?

I'm 20 weeks with boy/girl twins. I've had extreme back and shoulder pain since 7 weeks. Sometimes my legs go numb or my muscles tense up so much I can't turn my neck or raise my arms up very high. I'm only 129 lbs and started at 110 lbs. I'm having trouble supporting the newfound weight on a tiny frame. I've been to the doctor who sent me to a chiropractor. Needless to say this didn't help. My doctor have me a maternity belt. I've worn it twice. It helped a little with my back but it hurt my belly. Is the maternity belt my only option for my back? Has anyone else had this issue? Any tricks of the trade for this mama to be?

Re: Back problems?

  • :(  sorry you are uncomfortable.  i tried a maternity belt and returned it because it was so uncomfortable for me.  although many ladies swear by it!
