Any tips to get DC to stop doing raspberries while eating?

    He's so flippin' cute!

    I just pack it up when she starts doing that. She's not hungry when she's doing that. She just wants to play. I normally give her another chance and then pack up for good. She hasn't done it in awhile.

    I don't know if it helps or it just makes it so she can't blow them, but I take the empty spoon and put it just on her lips, a little in her mouth, and she's not able to blow them, and I tell her no.  And then she might do one more after that, and I tell her no.  Trying to get her to associate no with it.  It seems to have helped but not stop them.

    lanie, I would think that he was full, but we just started, he had 2 bites and then started this nonsense.  DH was covered in sweet potatoes yesterday.

    LOL! Little bugger. I couldn't NOT laugh at chubby little ben blowing raspberries though.

    hahaha sorry. Ben is such a cutie. Jonathan does the same thing then laughs and smiles afterwards. I have no suggestions unfortunately

    Ryan outgrew it. Once he was eating more table foods, he stopped playing with his purees. Now he just likes to huck the food off the spoon at the wall. Good times.

    I don't know how much truth there is to this, but if you think about it it kind of makes sense.  I mentioned DD doing this to my aunt, and she said that babies do it because it cools their sore gums down. You know, if you blow on something wet it makes it feel cool...I don't know if it's true, but it's made it a tiny bit less frustrating since I started thinking of it that way!

    You could try to encourage him to say "aaah" to open his mouth and then make an "mmmm" sound when he has food in his mouth.  He might get interested in making different sounds, or at least distracted if you make the sounds.
