I went in on Tuesday, December 10th at 5am for a scheduled induction, the nurse checked me at 5:30am after starting my iv and getting me hooked up and I was 3cm and already contracting, my doctor came in at 7:30 and I was 4cm, I got my epidural at that time while he was there, well 8:30am rolls around and I was feeling a lot of pressure so I asked the nurse to check me again, I was 5 1/2cm. I started to feel tons of pressure like I wouldn't of had the epidural and felt like I was going to seriously DIE! so it's now 9:30am and my mom calls the nurse in bc I'm shivering my ass off and can't talk bc the pain was unbareable, she then tells me 9 1/2cm, 10am I'm complete! The nurse calls my doctor to come in, I do a few practice pushes and finally my doctor gets there right before the baby crowns, my little Myles John was born at 10:20am weighing in at 7 pounds and 19 inches long! That's 5 hours of hard labor! This birth was more painful bc of the amount of pressure I was having than my first but easier to push out only having to push for 10 minutes in between contractions! We did skin to skin for an hour, and had success with breastfeeding! We had a rough start bc of my milk not being in and he wasn't peeing like he should have, but now he's 4 days old and breastfeeding like a champ! I already started my freezer stash of breast milk and it's all going good! Big sister Morgan is loving him all up too!!
