Update:
Well, I got my ultrasounds and blood work done. They couldn't see my appendix (normal I guess at 27 weeks) and I did have some fluid in my kidney, but they're not sure if that's what is causing the pain. My blood work didn't really show anything. The dr thought about keeping me overnight but sent me home and they're having me go back in the morning for more blood work or right back in tonight if it gets worse. At this point it's looking like it could be anything from still the possibility of appendicitis, kidney stones, or just a pulled muscle. I just really hate not having the answers!
Hey fellow mamas,
I haven't posted much around here but I'm curious if anyone has had any similair symptoms. I woke up early this morning with bad back pain and nausea. After a few hours I was able to fall back asleep but still hurt when I woke up. I was hospitalized with a kidney infection with my previous pregnancy and thought it might be that but didn't want to call until I was sure what was going on. Throughout the day the pain continued to get worse. It's on my right side right below my ribs but has also stretched to my side and my front. I am extremely tender to the touch there and it hurts when I step on my right leg (like it jolts my side/stomach) and when I hit bumps in the car. I went into my practice's urgent care and saw the OB dr there. They tested my urine and it looks fine, but because of how tender my stomach is they are sending me to the hospital for ultrasounds of my kidney and appendix and will have me said at the hospital while the radioligist calls the on call OB. At this point they are thinking it could be appendicitis, but I don't feel near sick enough to feel like I'm having appendicitis. Has anyone had anything like this?
