Ok, so I applied for this job, went in for an interview and it went awesome. It's one woman, just started her own marketing firm but she has a very impressive client roster already. She told me in the interview it seemed like I'd be a really good fit but she just needed to do the last two interviews she already had scheduled. She told me I would hear at the end of the week (being yesterday, Friday.) Well it came and went and I didn't hear anything. I even sent her a quick follow up email yesterday because I was dying to know before the weekend, it's a great opportunity and I've been super stressed. DH read my email and agreed it was good, super quick and friendly just seeing if she had any updates. So now here we are Saturday, no call, no email. So, be honest WDYT?

    Fridays are always crazy for me, I don't respond to half my e-mails until Monday. Probably the same in her case. Don't stress yourself out.

    I think it's really unprofessional of her, but I think she sounds like a super busy lady, so she surely will get in touch Monday! Good luck!

    Yea, my plan is to call monday... just so frustrated I didn't want to worry over the weekend.  I just really am over my ridiculous commute and blah boss.

    this.  sounds like she may be disorganized, especially if she doesn't have any help yet.

    It's possible she just interviewed one of the other candidates Friday. She's probably still reviewing everyone and busy on top of that. Calling Monday seems a bit much to me if you've already emailed her. Honestly, I'd wait for an email or call back from her until at least Friday. I know you're anxious to hear back, but it's right before the holidays. Try to just breathe in the meantime.

    It is super typical to not hear back in the specified time period. That doesn't make it suck any less.
