we put our bid in on the house (fiiiiiiiinalllly!!) and now we wait. DH is really pissed at wellsfargo and i think he's going to try to apply for a loan through a different bank. They took a week to get us our pre approval letter (even though everything was submitted and there were no problems). Then they told us that at closing we need to have 40k in the bank (that includes closing costs and the down payment). Thats 20k more than we thought we needed. They didn't mention this to us before and when he asked why we needed it they said, "in case you need to make repairs." We are keeping the house we have now and renting in out and we have about 100k in equity in this home. So yeah, DH is mad at them. lol

Last night someone cut the cords to our outdoor Christmas lights. Not only is that kind of freaky, but my kids are devastated for the lighted baby dear they had picked out on their own and named. to them it is like someone killed a family pet. They are off getting a new one as I type. And I am looking into a camera for the front porch.
I do have to chuckle. Because someone must have really been offended by our. multicolor lights. @LauraT25

Never had a loan through wells Fargo... but definitely had some bad experiences with them! I hope you find a different lender that is much more reasonable!

@stephcarter we have our home loan through wells Fargo and never had a problem. fingers. Crossed that everything works out and you get the house!

Im having my hair cut and colored today as it desperately needs it. Thinking of changing it up but will see I chicken out once in the chair

Chris checked out lending tree today and now he's got a 1000 lenders calling him per second lol!!

@dotmbc, thats exactly whats happening with us right now. Its beyond annoying. They gave us a list of things they needed and we provided all of that documentation within 24 hours. 2 days later they said, "oh we need your tax returns too." sent those. The next day "oh we need your W2's too." then another day went by. Then it was "oh they're looking at everything" SO annoying. we JUST refinanced with them a few months ago. they should have all our documents on file anyway. Our refinance took forever too.

@StefanieM522, I'm jealous. I was panicking on Friday that we were going to lose the chance to get the house because they're taking soooo long.

@chricast, me too!! I meant to ask you, do you have Emma in daycare? I'm going to need to find daycare for her staring in january and if we get this house i might as well start looking in the medford area since we'll be moving out that way.

My poor little B was so tired that when I asked her if she was ready for nap, she went and stood at the gate at the stairs and said nap. I opened it, she crawled up the stairs, went into her room, picked up a book and a blanket and climbed into the chair. She then folded herself in half and laid her head on her knees. Poor kid!!

I'm selling a few items on eBay. I can't stop watching them! 6 hours to go!! 2 of the 3 have bids. This is exciting stuff. LOL

@stephcarter we didn't use wells fargo but we had the same problem with our lender too. We had planned a vacation (which they knew about) and sent us a list. We emailed everything on the list but while we were on vacation they emailed us and asked for more plus things we already sent and said they needed it in 48 hours. wtf you knew we were away. It was an infuriating process and I can't even get into it, but fx for you everything goes smoothly after this.

@brookethecat sounds like so much fun!

it was snowing here, then stopped, but we are supposed to get more snow and maybe freezing rain? we have the church x-mas party tonight that we RSVP'd we'd attend and they just emailed that they aren't going to cancel for weather, so we'll see if we can make it. I would feel bad if we said yes but don't go. We also need a small white elephant gift but I have no idea what to do for it- maybe a bag of Hershey peppermint bells and a 1/2 lb pumpkin spice coffee? that's all we have at our house but it seems lame.

I'm being pissed at myself because last night while getting gas, hit the door of our (new!) Pilot on the barrier thingy at the gas pump and damaged it badly. Like insurance claim and new door badly. I feel like such a dipshit. My poor truck.
Later today we are going with my parents downtown to the bank my mom works at sheer they have antique Stife animals set up in a pretty Christmas display with Santa and pictures and stuff. Then a little shopping and dinner.

I would be totally pissed too, @LauraT25. I agree it sounds like they underestimated the weight, but that's a pretty big difference if that is what happened.

Doing all my holiday baking on a very rainy day.... peanut butter chocolate chip and pomegranate white chocolate chip cookies are done. Oreo peppermint crunch cookies about to go in the oven. Tonight I'll do the chocolate snowball ones and tomorrow morning I think I'll do the chocolate kissed gingerbread ones since I'm running out of brown sugar. DS1 is loving that he gets to put the chocolate chips in for each batch. DS2 inhaled a whole pomegranate white chocolate chip cookie. He was screaming so I gave him one to nibble and it was gone before I knew it.
