Happy Friday! Welcome to the new ladies to SAIF. GL to those TTCing and/or awaiting results. Get well wishes to anyone who is sick. T&Ps to those who need them.

What are your plans this weekend? Who will be out braving the crowds with holiday shopping? Who is traveling? What is the weather like where you are?

QOTW: Did you/will you send out holiday cards? Plain cards or photo cards? How many have you sent/will you send?

Hugs to everyone this week. Especially @mdiblasi10 and @mrandmrswoodtick. Special GL to @mofree.

Mh is OOT (big surprise!) so we don't have much planned for the weekend. Just a little girl time and regular chores. Hopefully no shopping for me, though I do need some maternity skinny jeans. It's what we call COLD here in Houston, around the 40's. rain expected later today, boo.

QOTW: I have ordered my cards, but they haven't come in yet. We just did a single family pic this year. Hopefully they come in soon so I can get them mailed out before christmas, haha.

My mom is flying in!

she will watch the twins tomorrow night while DH and I go to my company Christmas party, and then Sunday I'm hosting a cookie baking extravaganza.

QOTW: we are sending Christmas cards---a pic of Noah and Molly screaming on Santa's lap, with the caption "Peace and Joy". We ordered 60, but I keep adding people to my list. >_<

DH has been gone for the second week in a row (fx he flies out as there is supposed to be an Ice and snow storm this afternoon where he is currently). Add in sick baby and I'm ready to run away from home. So probably some shopping and a lot of daddy & J time. We are doing breakfast with Santa at the gym where I work tomorrow.

Qotw: we are planning to do photo cards, but our photographer hasn't gotten our edited photos back to us yet. At this rate they will likely be new years cards. Grrr.

My plans for the weekend did include getting my hair done tomorrow and finishing up the little shopping I have left. But it now looks like I'll be spending the weekend snowed in, single mom style since DH plows.... blah. Hopefully we can get out of the house Sunday afternoon.

QOTW: DH just put our cards in the mail today We did photo cards with a picture that I took of DS. Even though we had family pictures done back in September, which I loved, I felt like he's changed so much already, so I took one of my own. I love how the card turned out! We sent out about 65.

I'm going to brave going out shopping this weekend and have the unrealistic expectation I will finish the Christmas shopping I haven't even started! We're also hoping to take DS to see the movie Frozen.

QOTD: we already sent out our Christmas cards last week which doubled as our pregnancy announcement! It was a pic of the three of us with the caption saying: The best gifts don't come from a store.. Merry Christmas from our soon to be family of 4! We sent out 50 cards which is pretty typical.

Thanks @TJ1979 I want to take DS to see ICE at the Gaylord and start my Christmas shopping. Usually I'm done by now and I'm super annoyed at myself that I haven't even started yet this year. QOTW: I am done with the store bought cards I plan to send out to distant friends/family. BUT I wanted to send out photo cards to close friends and family. I can't find the cd of images from our family pics that were done in November. At this rate I'm going to be sending out New Years photo cards instead of Christmas cards.

I'm going out to a Handel's Messiah concert tonight with a friend. Can't wait as I so needed this - just a bit of alone time w/o M. He has been SUPER clingy with an extra dose of separation anxiety. He clings to my legs all the time, even when DH is home from work. Getting him to nap has been difficult at times - he screams and cries the second I leave his room. Doing Ferber checks don't work, he continues to screams as soon as I leave. I have to stay in his room until he is asleep; even then, he lifts his head up every couple minutes to check to see if I'm there. He also has a cold, perhaps that's making things worse.

Tomorrow we are going to ILs for lunch. This will be our first time at their place since they moved out to the area last month. As much as I like them, at this point, honestly, I'd prefer DH to go with M and I stay home. I just want some peace and quiet alone time!!!

We're getting a snowstorm Sunday, which means we'll be stuck inside.

ETA: forgot to answer QOTW!

QOTW: This is our first year during the photo holiday cards. Last year we mailed out traditional store-bought cards, but put in M's birth announcement in it. Anyway, the cards arrived last week and we got our cards mailed out earlier this week. I ordered 40 but should have gotten 45-50! A few of my friends (those without kids who don't care too much about babies) will be getting traditional cards, instead of photo cards.

We are cleaning out the utility/storage area this weekend. We decided we want to get rid of all our crap before the new year. QOTW: we do photo cards, they are ready to go, I just need two updated addresses.

Tomorrow is DS2's 3rd b-day party. We're doing a rocket ship theme and my dining room is filled with paper lantern planets. I've baked the cake, but now I need to frost it into a rocket ship.

QOTW: We are doing photo cards, but I haven't ordered them yet. We took the pic, I have a few options on shutterfly, but DH has been in SF for 3 days this week and I just haven't ordered them yet. (We disagree on which is best.) I usually send out 100, but I never get close to that many back, so I'm considering making some cuts to the list. But then that makes me feel grinchy, like I'm missing the point of Christmas.

My DH's firm's holiday party is tomorrow evening. Even though I'm feeling bloated and not very attractive it will be nice to get dressed up. Wear make up and enjoy an adult evening out.
My beta is Sunday morning and I am holding off testing until then.

Since Hanukah was over last Thursday at sundown, I am finished with holiday shopping and wouldn't go anywhere near a mall.

I do not send out holiday cards at this time of year. I do send cards for Rosh Hashonah in the fall, but photo cards are not done then.

I'm so glad this week is over! I woke up nearly every morning thinking it was Friday so it's been a rough one around here.

I am going to be super busy this weekend. I'm helping our school's student council kids deliver packages to a nursing home tomorrow and cleaning the house spotless. My parents are coming down Sunday to watch H that evening while we go to my work's Christmas party. I've also got a ton of grading/planning to do at some point and some more Christmas shopping to do, not much though on the shopping.

I will be sending out picture cards next week. I've got right around 75-ish I'm sending out.

My in laws are here for the night to help us get a bit more settled in and spend time with LO. He has a new tooth and another one that's close and he's got his first cold so he's a bit cranky and clingy but I am still going to try to take advantage of them being here to get my shopping done and hopefully have a few min to myself. I am exhausted tonight! We are supposed to go to a concert on Sunday afternoon but I suspect it may get cancelled as we are expecting a big storm. QOTW: we are sending out about 50 regular cards. @Cwhitaker27 I love your announcement!

We have a brunch with Santa this Sunday where I plan to stuff my face with food!

We sent out 85 cards this year!!! It's ridiculous but a majority of the recipients were our parents friends who gave us a baby gifts. Next year we plan to cut that list in half!!

We cut down our tree today which A thought was so much fun, but Baby I cried the whole time. We'll decorate it in Sunday when my sister comes over.

QOTW: we did photo Christmas cards/baby announcements. I have about 50 of them and I'm putting them in the mail tomorrow.

Most exciting weekend in a while over here! Tonight we went to a parade in downtown Minneapolis called the Holidazzle its floats that are covered in lights and they turn out the street lights for the parade, it was so fun! LO did get a little cold towards the end (its only a 30 min parade) so DH took him in a store to warm up for the last two floats. I think he liked it though! Tomorrow we have a birthday party for my best friends baby who is turning 2, then Sunday I hope to do a bunch of treat making for Christmas!

QOTW: I will be sending photo cards, we do every year, I think I will send 40-50 out.

Tonight was supposed to be pizza and basketball night at our house. First our pizza order got lost and we waited for over an hour and a half. Once it finally arrived, they forgot some of it and that took another hour! Finally got our food and turned to the game and our new cable company didn't have the channel we needed. I called and luckily we can get the sports pkg free for three months. Crisis averted, but I was pretty close to raging...so much for a relaxing, enjoyable night!

Tomorrow is shopping and some baking and more baking on Sunday.

QOTW: Were not doing cards this year. Half of my maternity leave was unpaid and I'm still only part time so we can keep LO out of daycare as long as possible, so money is a little tight and were a little busy. Maybe next year!

Tonight we had my cousin and his wife and their cute new puppy over for dinner. We asked them to be Hannah's godparents. (ya, I know it's late but we had a tough decision to make). They said yes and seemed honoured by the request.

Tomorrow I will be making large batch of soup, and then canning it. Other than that we have a snowy weekend ahead and I just wanna sit at home with hubby and Hannah

I have actually sent out all my cards, did that a week ago. We did photo cards, I've been WAITING to do that for years, but I wanted a kid for them. They are super cute too! We sent out 50

@ccam - I feel bad for you!!! Being a single mom while being confined to the house would make me crazy. @kaf7 - we are in the same boat.....two front top have started cutting this week (one literally started last night)....and Molly is struggling with the cold symptoms. Rough week over here. Poor thing is making me so sad.

No real plans here. We're also getting a snow storm. I've labeled tomorrow as Snow Day Saturday. DH and I went and got a ton of firewood today and tomorrow I am hoping to roast a chicken, make some cookies, clean my house and wrap presents. We will see what LO thinks about all of these plans

I also had today off. Best day in a LONG time. Took Molly to see Santa. Got a hot stone massage (with a gift card!) and got a call for an interview with my old employer!!! (Where I really want to go back to - only left because they sold my division)... Good stuff
