Lupron help

So we just did our daily dose of Lupron and DH took the needle out really fast and it seemed like almost 5cc came out but he thinks only about 1-2 came out. Sometimes when we do it the shot a bead of it comes out after he takes the needle out but I don't think it is enough to worry about. I am worried about this one. We normally do 20cc. Thoughts??? Or has this ever happened to anyone?

    Since your suppressing I would think you are aokay.. I only do 10 each time.. Sometimes a little bead happens too.

    Are you pulling the needle out when the bottle is still upside down? Turn it right side up first, then pull out needle and the little bead should not happen.

    Fluid always looks more than it actually is. For instance, what seems like blood is"gushing" is usually a ton less than it looks. So my guess is that it is much smaller than you would think. Hopefully that helps :)

    Oh, some liquid coming out of your skin? I've had that happen with PIo. Maybe inject a little slower next time and wait a few seconds before pulling the needle out. I wouldn't worry that you didn't get enough in. GL:-)

    I always cringed everytime a droplet would leak out. It always made me wonder how much $$ each drop cost. So stressful!! My nurse assured me that the doses accounted for the little droplets that you couldn't totally get. It's impossible to get 100%, though I'm such a perfectionist I always tried. Definitely leave the needle in the skin for 5 seconds after the plunger is all the way down to make sure it all gets out of the syringe. Good luck!!

    Yep, inject slower and leave needle in at least 5 seconds, that mostly stopped the droplets for me though I did bleed more often, but that could have been just from all the shots in general.

    I always wait a couple seconds before pulling the needle out. Are you pinching the skin a bit when he injects? If so make sure to let go of the skin before he pulls it out.
