Shit Men Do

Not trying to start a "I hate men" thread or anything, but sometimes I just have to laugh at some of the stuff my DH does. 

For example, earlier this week when I asked him what the attire was for his company's holiday party this weekend, he told me casual. I asked him because I was on the way to find something to wear to the party (he knew this).  Well, I knew that it wasn't actually casual because I know the way his mind works. He was thinking guys could wear a nice shirt and jeans and that meant I need a casual-ish dress. Last night, after I already bought a dress, he tells me that it's cocktail attire. WTF, DH?! That's NOT casual. Not even close.

What's your DH (or brother, dad, etc) done lately that's worthy of a "shit men do" label?

    I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to wear. The dress I bought was this one: https://www.shopdressup.com/product-p/58840.htm

    I know it's not really cocktail attire, but I'm thinking it might work if I do heels and accessorize well. Thoughts? 

    By the way, I LOVE that store. It has the cutest stuff at awesome prices. I went to the physical store (there are several in GA, but nowhere else yet I don't think), but you can buy online too. 

    If I can't make it work then I'm going to have to go dress shopping tomorrow. In the Christmas mall crowd. Die!

    Thanks! Oh, and I forgot to mention what a nightmare the oil situation sounds like. At least he's trying, I guess :)

    @chickie79 I feel your pain, my DH cant ever find ANYTHING. It can be staring him straight in the face and he won't see it.

    My H (God, love him) sometimes gets upset at me because he can't anything for the baby. 
    Umm, dude the diapers and wipes are in a tote next to the chair. 
    His bottles, sippys, pouches, crackers, etc. are all in the same damn cabinet I have designated for him since before he was born. 
    The medicine is, either, in the window sill above the sink with mine or it's in the hmmmm, idk, the effing medicine cabinet where the medicine is. It's not that hard to find if you go looking. 
    Or what really ticks me off is when he can't find his stuff, wallet, keys, phone, the stuff I never touch, you get all in a panic because you placed it somewhere. Where the hell did you put it down last because I didn't touch your crap?!

    Open your effing eyes and LOOK for crying out loud.

    yep, trying to think of something original but you guys have named two super annoying things: never really looking for stuff before asking me where it is & making a mess when cooking!  

    The one thing I think of when I read this is just throwing his laundry in the baskets randomly when I have them separated for lights and darks  -plus his socks are in a ball and he cant empty out his pockets.

    @ksherwood MH does the same with laundry. Slowly getting better, but every.freaking.time. he does darks he asks me if red is a light or dark. I mean, it's one of the darkest colors there is. Lol.
