Fertility Report from Embryologist

Hello All, 

So... the lab called. Of the four eggs collected, they were all nicely mature. By today, only two showed signs of fertilization and growth. Of the two that are growing, embie #1 is a 2 cell 2 with little to no fragmentation and it looks very good. embie #2 is concerning as apparently it's already showing signs that it might have a chromosonal issue. Lab said it would likely not be eligible for transfer as it would likely not be a good scenario. 

Because I've only got embie #1, they are doing a 3 day transfer. I'm scheduled to go in tomorrow at 3:30pm. 

I know all it takes is one. Yes, I really hope all it takes is one. But I still feel so sad. I wanted more eggs. I wanted them all to grow. I wanted at least 2 to transfer. I'm so nervous about our one little embie. 

*sigh*

And right now at work I'm supposed to design and code some stuff for a customer and I simply can't concentrate. Scripting requires at least partial attention to what you are doing.... 

And... I started the Endometrin. I still think the suppositories are better than the shots, but we'll see in a few more days.

    I'm so sorry.  I hope you and @freakyfast have the toughest little fighters the world ever knew!  You're right that all it takes is one.

    Two DDs 10/08 and 08/10, no primary IF
    TTC #3 since 10/2011 - dx unexplained/weak ovulation
     3 BFN clomid + TI cycles, 5 BFN clomid/gonal f IUIs, 1 mmc IUI
    2/19/2014 IVF #1 Unexpected low E2 (oversuppressed) -> increased to max doses = 3 or 4 follicles, converting to IUI
    BFFP Saw 1 beautiful heartbeat at 6w6d, follow up u/s at 9w showed mmc. Eff this.
    NTNP 5/2014-9/2014, OPKs and TI 10/2014 - 1/2015. 
    RPL testing all normal, AFC, AMH, and FSH all normal. 
    IVF 1.2 1/22/2014 natural cycle start, AFC 28, 300 gonal f/150menopur. 
    ER 2/3/15 14R 8M 3F w/ICSI Day 5 transfer on 2/8/15 of one "Grade A+" blast and have TWO frosties!

    Thank you ladies for all those positive vibes. I really believe I am feeling them and they are fighting the sheer force of the PMSy like feelings I've got today. I can have a light lunch and my husband DARED to ask me where I wanted to go and I told him, "Fvck! Can't you just pick?" Apparently I'm a litlte short due to being totally anxious. I couldn't fall asleep last night and am filled with anxiety that my embie stopped growing or slowed down. I don't seem to have issues, we are male factor. I have a nice shaped uterus, no polyps or scar tissue, I had a lining of 8mm before trigger. I'm on the progesterone supps... I already take a daily dose of low aspirin under doctor's orders... so I should have good blood flow, a good lining, etc. 

    However, I'm still a basket case. I'm suddenly really looking forward to taking that valium at 2:30 :)

    Congratulations!!! What are your orders now? Are you told to go on bed rest or you can resume activities as normal? I always hear differently, so i am curious.

    My RE says I should rest and relax for the evening. I can sit on the recliner, etc. basically give my pelvic area some rest and relaxation. They then said if I want to stay that way all weekend or I can resume activities. As long as I am not getting stressed out or exerting the abdominal muscles. So naturally my dh says he is going to strap me in the bed so I can't move, lol.

Apparently our squirrelly #2 was just spazzing a little when they checked it at 30 hours.... By lunch today both our fertilized embryos were 8 cells level 2! Only like 10% get level 1.
    That's great. The same thing happened to me, pretty much. One of my embryos didn't fertilize at all on day 1, but by day 2 it turned out to be our best embryo, by day 3 it was an advanced 10 cell, grade 2, and we had one other 8 cell grade 2. Good luck to you.

    Woot Woot!  Hoping for sticky embryos for you!
    Trying for #2 with IVF after damage done in a D&C left me with one functioning (but too scarred) ovary and tube to get pregnant safely without assistance. It's a really, really long story, but that is the gist of it.  We have one daughter (whose c-section birth started this roller coaster) born in 2012 after a miscarriage in 2011. 
    Failed 1st attempt at IVF (Fresh ET day 3, 1 frozen embryo saved) in December 2013.  
    Failed 2nd attempt at IVF (Fresh ET day 5, 2 frozen embryos saved) in February 2014.
