Installing a britax..help

I have a britax marathon 70-g3. I know it's rear facing..I know I have anchors because that's how infant seat is strapped in..what's confusing me is the tether connector strap. According to figure A and B that's where the tether strap should b ..I don't think I have either of those two anchors ..I have only seen the one behind the seat for forward facing..does any of this make sense?image

Re: Installing a britax..help

  • P.s I find figure B strange and not practical for getting child in and out ?
  • Loading the player...
  • Picture would b wonderful @libbylouhoo
  • Reviving this post.    We FINALLY tried to install ours tonight and had the same issue as PP.   Are we voiding any warranties or anything if we tie to the bases as shown in the attached site?

My husband is a very follow the rules guy so anyone have a ford edge and a convertible carseat that does require the awkward strap placement?

  • well, I did just find a video on the britax website showing how to tether it to the front carseat base that is anchored to the floor.   Gonna show that to DH and hope we can keep this bad boy.   I bought it almost a month ago on crazy good sale, would hate to start my shopping all over.

  • On a side note I called aboutvthe new advocate that is coming out in January (G4 I believe) and the women in customer service said it didn't need to be tethered like the 70g3...not sure if that is helpful.
