Lurker intro

So I participated in the GTKY lurker edition the other day and thought I would do a formal intro. I am a ftm, my LO was born on July 4th. My DH and I have been married for 4years and live in upstate New York in the Adirondacks. I work full time as a dental assistant although if finances allowed I would totally stay home. I breast feed and pump and supplement with formula because little girl has a big appetite and I cannot keep up. Lately, my supply has been dwindling fast so I will probably end bf as much as it saddens me, but it is what it is. We also started solids two weeks ago and it seems to be going well. I will try to keep up with posting but I am mobile and it's hard sometimes. I have lurked for a while but hope to finally be part of this group.

I did an avatar, hopefully I did it right and I will try to figure out a siggy @jackson290721- I love pie, apple is my fave. @lizabethann06- I love wine, used to work at a fancy hotel and the best part of my job was tasting all the wines before we served them; love chocolate, especially dark and I could live in yoga pants!

Welcome. I'm from upstate ny : Rochester. Spent my summers as a kid on the st Lawrence in A Bay. Love it up there, just not in the winters. I pump and BF and supplement. I'm pumping less and less. It's sad but I made it 6 months so I'm happy about that. It's hard pumping.

@ncchnat-haha not really my thing @valstulas-thanks I'm glad it worked, I'm not the best when it comes to figuring out technology @pink724-it was a great job except that the hours were very inconsistent, had to work holidays and weekends

@missyjg- yeah winters can be rough especially when Saranac Lake, where I live is, often featured on the Today show as the coldest spot in the country.

I hate pumping, it gives me so much anxiety to not be able to pump enough and lately I'm only getting an ounce each side, definitely not enough. I was hoping to make it to six months, but I guess five months is still pretty good.

Saranac lake= great beer! It's made there? Also doesn't saranac lake get a ton of snowfall? I lived in Plattsburgh in 2000 (when there was still a college) and I couldn't believe the snow.
Sorry about the pumping. I tried all the supplements and nothing has helped. It's tough. I'm still hoping to get one or two nursing times in with the little man. Some is better then none I guess.

@missyjg Yes we get quite a bit of snow as well, kind of sucks because I am not a winter fan, I don't ski or anything. I think the Saranac beer is made in Utica for some reason, but Lake Placid has some breweries that make good beer.
