We're doing them but i'm not sure what. There are 5 teachers in her room and then 2 directors that help out in that room a lot.
5?? That's a lot! I'd go broke.
Tell me about it! The infant room is one big room with a half dividing wall that separates the mobile from the non - mobile babies. There are usually 2 teachers on each side and 5 people that rotate through. That's why I am so torn...I want to get a good gift but I can't go broke doing it.
@chickie79 that's a good idea. I also was thinking about making lavender bath salt and putting it in a mason jar with fabric over the lid and a note tied around it. I did that for shower guest gifts twice and people loved them. Wasn't sure if that was enough but maybe I could do that and baked goods. Maybe candied pecans/almonds? Or should I do something like cookies?
I'm glad someone posted about this, because I totally didn't think about it! I'll probably send DH with a Starbucks gift card for the sitter. He takes DD to her twice a week and it's been pretty much private care for the past month.
LO goes to an in-home. Probably we will pay her extra this month-- just an extra check, not a gift card or anything. And hopefully baked goods if I get my act together!
We are doing a $75 GC for each of his two full timers and probably $40 for his afternoon teacher. Then I'll do some baked goodies for the room (there is a big classroom with a half wall so he sometimes is with the other teachers too), and a bottle of wine for the each of the three directors. The likely something very small for the woman who sits at the front desk and the nurse (Vincent was there a lot this Sept and Oct!).
I do $30 gift cards for his teachers to the local grocery store (we only have one chain here).
I did the same when he move classrooms as a thank you/going away present.
One chain?! That's crazy. Which one is it?
HEB. Seriously the best grocery store ever. Ever.
Well if you only have one, at least it's a good one . We don't have those in GA (that I'm aware of anyway).
Sorry if someone already answered this. Should I give a gift to the OWNER? I'm giving gift cards to her caregivers. Maybe a bottle of wine for the owner?
Re: Christmas presents for Daycare?
It's an iTunes gift card that says your the App(le) of my eye.
I am giving soap from bath and body works. With a tag that says " I WASH you a merry christmas" .
Corny yes (Thanks pinterest). But I figured they could use the soap, everyone needs soap.
We had 4 to buy for. One really is an infant room teacher, but she helps out every now and then and has always favored DD, so I included her too.
