Can someone explain the potato?

I've seen the potato in some of your siggy's. anyone care to explain? Also, I've been trying to change my siggy pic. I tried copying a code from tiny pic into my signature box, but it didnt work. I was using my iPad. Is that why? Any siggy help would be great. I tried looking at the tutorial on TTGP but am still lost. TIA! Also, big hugs to everyone going through this! Reading some of your journeys in your siggy is absolutely heart breaking. I'm only at the beginning of this whole thing and already feeling kind of numb sometimes.

I can't help with siggies, as I've never tried to update mine since the bump erased my original ticker.

The potato came after a long rant as an after-exclamation. TicketTuesday, maybe? Not to poke fun at the actual rant, as most of our rants here are important to us, but a synopsis because I can't remember the actual post:

"2IF is a bitch. And other shitty stuff happened this week. And people can only take so much!

And potato, damn it!"

Only there were fewer curse words probably. And more specific actual problems.

Did someone say siggy help?? Freakyfast here... Top right there is a little icon that looks like a head. Click on that to your right it will then say signature settings. Click that and then you have your box for you signature. To add a pic click on the little icon that looks like a mountain and it says add picture. You may have to try a couple URLs. Some url say to put on boards but that one doesn't usually work you have to use the general URL. Like In photobucket you get 5 choices its the least obvious choice. Let me know if this doesn't make sense. I'm mobile and it's easier when I'm laptop.

@freakyfast, can you tell me how to resize my pics? I want to make my potato the same size as my other pics, and I want to make the GIF smaller. I used to know how to do that back in the day when it was all code, but since the new, easier signature settings, I don't know how to resize.

GraceyandTroy - what picture program do you use? I was using photobucket and just uploaded my potato in there by the url link, re-sized it in photobucket, and grabbed the url link from there.

With my siggy potato, I actually found that I could drag the corner of the actual picture to resize it once I had it inserted into my siggy. It kind of happened by accident but I was like "hey, what a great feature!"

@freakyfast and @cheesypeas, Thank you! I actually couldn't figure out how to click on the corner and resize… every time I clicked on the image, it would highlight as if it was text rather than an image. That was a little annoying, but then I found a key in the tool bar that changed the entire siggy to code instead of how it actually appears. So I skimmed the code for the sizes of the other images and copied it into the part of the code for the potato and gif. It was easier that I thought it would be and I impressed myself with my code editing ability,

. But I do want to thank you both for your input as I wouldn't have figured it out without your direction to at least help me look!

@GraceyandTroy, I was afraid that might be the case. I pasted my pic in from tinypic, so the drag to resize thing probably doesn't apply to all sources. Before I stumbled upon that, I was going to attempt to resize using the source code but got a little intimidated, so I'm very impressed with you. Nice work, lady!
