What's for breakfast?

Now that I'm not working I dont get a sausage mcmuffin :(
All I really want is coffee
But I know I need sustenance
What are your go too breakfasts? I need inspiration

  • This morning it was a grande nonfat chai latte and a caramelized apple cake from Starbucks. 

    Oatmeal is good, quick, and filling. Plus it'll help you poop. Bonus points if you take the time and energy to prepare steel cut (I throw it in the rice cooker with some cinnamon and vanilla extract). 


    Fruit. Also helps you poop. 

    If I'm feeling ambitious? Scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese or a toasted bagel sandwich with scrambled eggs and cheese melted under the broiler. I also love basil scrambled egg stuffed tomatoes, but the texture gets to some people.

  • I've been a whiny brat all morning about breakfast. We have no food in the house and my husband proceeds to eat the last bowl of cereal and make, I kid you not, 12 slices if toast. When I ask him what the heck he was doing he said they were for both of us. Yes, dear, I totally wanted soggy, cold, butter slathered toast. Sick. It made me gag.

    So after a solid half hour of pouting I had a leftover piece of lasagna. It was delish.

  • I just had a coffee roll the size of my face and a small coffee. Also gummy prenatals if that counts too.

  • So far today i've had a fiber bar, a banana, a serving of cottage cheese and now i'm eating a pear. this pear kinda sucks. on work days i tend to eat my breakfast in multiple stages. on weekends i usually have cereal or oatmeal. or for a treat a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant. mmmm....

  • 3 christmas cookies my boss brought in, 2 cups decaf, 1 bowl peaches n cream oatmeal. I may need another cookie.

  • I'm having Yogurt with Banana so yummy! I will sometimes have toast and PB or eggs. Depends on what I feel like bringing to work and eating ;-)
  • I had a jalapeno bagel with cream cheese and some strawberry yogurt with chopped peaches mixed in.

    Eggs (organic) & toast! Orrrr some mornings when my hubby & I don't wanna cook, Ill have a bowl of strawberry Greek yogurt.. With strawberry banana flax oil in it.. I also like to make fresh fruit smoothies..
  • I had a banana, a small apple, and two Christmas sugar cookies I found at work. I'm still starving...

  • This morning I had whole wheat toast with peanut butter and banana. Yum!

  • PB & applesauce on toast. Yesterday was scrambled eggs, hashbrowns & a smoothie. I didn't feel that ambitious today.
  • I usually make egg sandwiches. Whisk an egg in a ramekin, microwave it for 30 seconds. (Keep an eye on it because it can jump out of the bowl!) Sprinkle cheese on top, microwave another 10 seconds and put it on a piece of bread, or English Muffin if you want to get fancy, with some mustard! Yummy and only 1 minute of your time.

  • Today was toast with pb and coffee. Sometimes I add a grapefruit. I also eat a lot of oatmeal, steelcut with cinnamon, fresh cut apples and craisins is my favorite, but since I usually bring my breakfast it has just been me bringing two packets or peaches or strawberries and cream with me in the morning.  Seriously, when is one packet of oatmeal ever enough?

  • Tried to choke down some oatmeal with honey and cinnamon but oatmeal hasn't been doing it for me lately.  Ended up eating a piece of bread with cream cheese and jalapeno raspberry jelly.

  • I was not meant to eat breakfast this morning.
    I wanted a smoothie of just some yogurt and frozen fruit. My blender wasnt working properly so after 5 mins of struggling with it I gave up and moved on to oatmeal. I'm one of those people who can't just eat oats, I need flavoured sugary packets of oatmeal lol. So after waiting for water to boil I opened the packet and there was no flavouring. It was plain plain oats. Gag. I couldn't manage to eat it. Threw it in the sink and ran off to work.

    Some reps bought our department subs for lunch today so that was the first thing I ate.
  • Scrambled egg whites with TONS of 2% cheddar cheese mixed in, sprouted grain bread w/ light cream cheese and an orange.
