What is the deal with that thing? Every "recommended toy" list seems to have it on there, but I just don't get it. It looks like a shallow plastic bowl. Anyone have one and is it actually fun???
My mother-in-law bough two for our lake house. They are a lot of fun on the beach there (it's super sandy). The kids fill them up with sand and water, use the as slides, sit on them, sit in them, carry toys, etc. Then we just hose them off and they use then in the house. We're big fans.
I don't understand them either. I must admit that I am not the most creative person though. SIL has one and DD (3) was trying to figure out what it was. She then decided it was a potty. I about died laughing. The toy had no appeal to her after she discovered she couldn't potty in it.
My 3 year old son uses his pretty much daily. He loves to spin in it, wear it as a helmet, and practice balancing on one foot on top of it. We used it as a sled yesterday and that was a blast!
My 17 month old has been trying to spin in it for about a month now with my help. She seems to love it as well.
There are some videos on YouTube showing kids spinning in it to give you an idea.
It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!
IVF #1 - BFP (6dt)
Unassisted Pregnancy #2 - lost at 15w6d due to T21, severe heart defects, and fetal hydrops
I forgot all about those! I just showed it to DS (from the pics on amazon) and asked him what he thought it was and he told me "Those are called a potty sleds". Cheaper than I remember, half tempted to get one anyway. LOL
