Positive test!

After 2 miscarriages and an ectopic and an entire year with nothing. I am blessed with a positive pregnancy test! I couldnt be happier. Ladies please pray for me that this sweet baby will stay. Im trying to stay positive and checking up with my doctor regularly. I dont know if it was a miracle from god or my lifestyle change i just did that helped me get a positive. For any ladies who are struggling, diet is the key. I ate very healthy and exercised a lot, lost 50 lbs, and took all my vitamins. I am very athletic now i can run half marathons and i do believe it helped. I feel so much better and I have a good feeling about this one. I am so happy and i wish the same for all of you! After so long trying, this goes to show that miracles can still happen! 3 years struggling and I still have hope! keep me in your thoughts and prayers!!!

With that said, please also take the time to get to know your audience here a bit better. A lot of women who are currently part of that community also lurk here to check up on us and to offer support and seek encouragement and hope. For them in particular, your post could come off as hurtful, though I don't think you intended it that way. Lifestyle changes ("diet is the key" and taking "all my vitamins") and faith alone do not make a pregnancy possible for many women, myself included.

Again--I don't think you intended any harm, but my heart breaks a little for any woman struggling with trying to conceive who may read your post this morning. I hope you'll take the time to read other posts on this board, get to know the tone of support, knowledge, and encouragement offered, and become a regular participant in our community.

Welcome & congrats on your pregnancy! The PP's are right. So many have struggled & what works for some isn't always the key for others. You'll find a lot of wonderful women here.

I'm happy that you finally got your positive! I hope you stay here and have a long, healthy pregnancy. With that being said, I do agree with Rosie. I was eating right and running marathons before I had my loss so what you said can be a bit insulting. I understand where you are coming from but please know that there is no magical fix in many cases and there really is nothing most women can do to prevent a loss from happening. If it were possible, I'm sure the women here would already be doing it.

OP, while I am glad that worked for you (and, woot! 50 pounds is amazing), it simply won't work for everyone. I so wish it was that easy. I wish you the very best with your pregnancy.
