Aw'ing DH's Smart-assery

We haven't ever discussed whether we thought this little one is a boy or a girl, so I asked him this aftternoon "What do you think we're having?" He very seriously looked at me and said, "A baby".

I love that man :)

Re: Aw'ing DH's Smart-assery

  • Well, it could be a velociraptor....

DH is still stubbornly calling the baby "she" and informed me quite haughtily that calling it a girl in utero won't do any damage if it's a boy. As a boy with a high voice, he's been called ma'am enough times to know the damage isn't permanent. And HE'S hoping for a girl, so he will call her a her until there's a reason not to.

    I laughed.

  • DH jokingly said after our AS "I guess we should stop calling the baby velociraptor... they are clearly human."

  • I like saying "pretty sure a human" when people ask me.  Mine looked like a stegosaurus at the dating ultrasound and I haven't had a peek since then.
  • My DH keeps telling everyone that we are having a puppy. He is soooo funny...
