We haven't ever discussed whether we thought this little one is a boy or a girl, so I asked him this aftternoon "What do you think we're having?" He very seriously looked at me and said, "A baby".
DH is still stubbornly calling the baby "she" and informed me quite haughtily that calling it a girl in utero won't do any damage if it's a boy. As a boy with a high voice, he's been called ma'am enough times to know the damage isn't permanent. And HE'S hoping for a girl, so he will call her a her until there's a reason not to.
I laughed.
