Don't miss being pregnant bc I still look like I am

I am getting seriously frustrated with my stomach. I've lost 25 lbs, but I still look several months pregnant. Granted I still have 20 more lbs to lose, but the rest of my body is thinning out. I have been doing the recommended exercises for a diastasis, but no luck. Does anyone else still look like there's a baby in there? Any tips for shrinking the belly? Am I just being overly critical?

  • I just look fat I have always been a little bit heavy but I am still at my highest weight and look disgusting!! On another note... you may have a little pooch in the front but seriously where the hell are you going to lose 20 lbs from!!?? Your looking great!

  • I just look fat. I didn't look pregnant after I had my baby just weird and deflated. I feel like I have my normal fat shape back but I'm still a good 45lbs higher than I was when I got pregnant. I gained a lot during my pregnancy but I've been here before too so I don't feel as bad anymore. I'm about 20lbs down from where I was at 5-6wks postpartum.
  • I still look pregnant too, I'd say I look like I did at about 4-5 months, I freaked out a little yesterday when I seen I gained a couple pounds too.. How disappointing!

Ditto. I look at least 5 months pregnant.

  • Lurking from O13. I used a bellefit girdle and it worked wonders in pushing in the pooch!

  • I still look pg too. Took me about 6 months to get back to normal after my first kid. If I'm not happy with how I look by next summer I'm gonna step up the diet/exercise but now I figure I'm still postpartum and its not worth beating myself up over it.

  • First off - you look pretty darn good!

But if you're still not feeling great, have you tried wearing a belly wrap? I wore one 'round the clock for 6 weeks pp and it totally helped. I now wear it only while working out. Now my stomach is "flat" but I still have loose skin & saggy fat - just not the pp pooch I had right after LO was born. Hoping after I'm done EBF I will workout harder and lose the saggy skin & flab.

Just keep in mind most pp bodies take a year to bounce back. And be thankful we had fall babies... We have all winter to get back in shape before summer! Good luck!!
  • Could it be bloat? Cuz seriously I'm having a horrible time with bloat!!!! Here's a pic of how different it is day by day. :/ I was appalled yesterday looking at how much there was and then today it was gone :/image

  • I gained 20 lbs with the pregnancy but I was already big to begin with so after losing the 20lbs pp, I look the same. Fat. I want to lose 20 lbs more and be able to wear what what I want to wear and feel good but I've been stress eating. Lol
  • I also have the saggy skin and flabby belly (not to mention a fading linea negra). I bought and used the Squeem vest from about 1 week pp to 3 wks pp and loved it! I had to take a break from the binder because it pushes the boobs up and out (very flattering), but with BF it was causing blocked ducts. I'll resume wearing it when I'm done BF. Til then, cardigans and layers it is!

  • I look exactly the same and am probably around the same size as you. I also have 20 lbs to go, but like PP said, I have been stocking up on the cardigans, loose tanks and layers. Oh and scarves, scarves are my best friend. With DS, I noticed around 6 months that my belly was really close to being flat again.
