I need your help

I'm starting a new business venture. Don't worry I'm not trying to sell here. I just need help coming up with my business name. I make infinity scarves that double as nursing covers but might start doing other things as well. I like the idea of incorporating DDs name into it, since she's the one who inspired the idea

Any ideas?

This popped in my head and now it's stuck and I cant think of anything else.
"The aria love collection". But part of me likes it. And part doesn't. Lol I think it sounds high end which is nice and I think it flows well but idk if you'd want to name your business it.

I think it's super cute, but I'll have to think on it. Something else that sticks in my mind is Cottonwood Collection. I grew up on cottonwood rd. It has special meaning to me, but it doesn't really cover that it's handmade scarves.... Idk this is hard

I think naming is business is totally hard! It has to be catchy enough to have people remember it but also needs to some what represent what you are selling.

Lurker here.. How about using her middle name? I also started a side business inspired by my lo and when I couldn't think of anything catchy that goes with Baylee, I used her middle name, Kimball, for Kimball Krafts. Also, I really love those scarves!!

As for the name, I personally don't like shop names that limit themselves to one type of thing. Ex. "Shanmarie's Scarves" or "Aria's Nursing Covers" because you might want to branch out eventually. I'd also avoid anything boob related, cause that's just weird IMO.

How about something cutesy like 'SweetAria' or 'Little Lelliana Boutique' ?

You could also play on the meaning or Aria. High Note Designs or Mom's Fashion Melodies. I adore the name Aria btw. You could just call it Aria!

That scarf is amazing! I would definitely be interested in buying one. I'm also in the non-boob-related camp. I can't stand brand names like udder covers or whatever they're called. I don't need products to compare me to a cow.

I wish we could share our etsy shops/mama businesses in a limited capacity- like, one thread that people can post on. I totally see why there's a rule against it, but it's annoying.

It looks like it was already an idea ! I searched on Pinterest and there are some people who already sell similar ones. I hope I can still sell them ???

Funnily enough, I've been discussing copyrighting/intellectual property in terms of handmade items and etsy lately with my mom and husband. Ironic!

You have every right to sell them. Someone can't copyright a scarf, even if it's more of a niche-market item (geared toward nursing moms). It's common property. If you were making them from a pattern that someone else had written, eh, then it gets murky. But I don't recall that being the case for you. You won't have any issues legally with selling them. Just make sure you call them something different of course.

Now, it might be morally in the grey area if your scarves were exact replicas of others that you saw- as in, stitch for stitch, fabrics, everything. This is unlikely and still probably not illegal.

All in all, you're fine. I hope you do well!

Thank you!! They couldn't be exact replicas because I don't use a pattern! I was making scarves for family and thought hey! This would be a great nursing cover! I really hate the hooter hiders and all those. I've sold a few scarves in my town and traded some for other goods. No one has ever heard of them here

When I was naming mine, I went with something with personal meaning. My dad has called me sweet pea since I was born, so I named my etsy shop sweet pea's market. I don't love having the 'market' in there, but sweet pea's was already taken.

I'd go with something you will alwYs love
