Re: **Wednesday Ticker Change**

  • Week:  35 Weeks (35 Days left)!

    Fruit/Veggie: Coconut

Due Date/RCS Date:  January 15, but I feel like I'm going to pop any minute!

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: Next appointment is next week at 36 weeks. I get swabbed for GBS (though I already know from a urine sample that no matter what the results, I will have antibiotics during labour). No word from my OB on any growth scans or anything?

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery:  I'm super nervous that I won't make it to the hospital in time and that labour will be super quick. Also with DS, my water never broke naturally, so the unknown is very nerve-wrecking!

    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list? I just have to wrap the gifts, put the gingerbread house together, and bake! I do have a couple of small items to buy for my friend's kids, DS' godmother & godfather etc, but other than that, everything else is done!

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List?  Hang up the pictures, clear out crib, get a double stroller and organize the change table to the way I had it with DS!

  • 36 weeks - the size of a honeydew! Due January 8th. We've been predicting baby will come late because it seems common for FTM and my Mom & sister both went late with their firsts and needed csections. It's hard to imagine going past January 8th ... my body feels like it is trying to expel the baby any day now.

I was supposed to start weekly appointments but everything looks fine enough that she said I can wait to start those at 38 weeks. So next appt is December 23rd.

I'm getting more and more terrified of labor/c-section/recovery every day. I have really low pain tolerance and am so scared of all the unknowns. I'm very nervous of tearing and managing pain post partum. If I need a csection I'm scared for that as well - I've never had surgery.

We still have to set up our tree and finish our decorations... ooops getting late to do it but every time we have it scheduled something comes up or I'm not feeling up to it etc. Besides that I am finished shopping for everyone EXCEPT SO!! Ugh ... he is very hard to shop for! We set 30 dollar limit to spend on each other this year.

Baby's hospital bag is packed and all of his necessities are washed and set up. We still have some things around the house I'de like to do just hang art/photos/curtains ... want to do another deep clean of the place ... Need to pack mine and SO's hospital bag. A few things we are getting handed down to us from my family we still are waiting on ... our recliner for baby's room, changing table, breast pump, pack n play, baby tub .... so I'm hoping to have all those by Christmas!!

I'm really freaking out that baby is almost here... it is so surreal. It's going to be strange to not be pregnant anymore. I thought first trimester was the hardest but now that I've hit 36 weeks for sure the end here is the hardest part of pregnancy. It truly amazes me how uncomfortable it is and even though I was so sick in first trimester -- there was still so much time before baby came. Now, it is around the corner and I feel utterly scared, unprepared, unsure, etc.
  • Week:37 weeks today!

    Fruit/Veggie:Wintermelon (whatever that is!) LOL
Due Date/RCS Date: EDD is 01/01, but as the weeks go by, I'm feeling stronger that this will actually be a Dec baby.

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: Had my 37 week appt today.  38 week appt is next Tuesday. Today's appt showed me almost 2cm & 50% effaced. (Compared to last week, I was almost 1cm & nothing much for effacement)

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery: Mostly that he will come before I am ready, but he makes the rules I guess! Otherwise, I'm just nervous of the unknown. Hoping for things to go as smoothly as they did with my first.

    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list? Still just a couple more things to buy, but I have most shopping done.

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List? I need to get all clothes & bedding washed. I also need to make a trip to pick up some things from Target, but I think technically that stuff can wait & is not necessary to haev done before the birth.

Fruit/Veggie: Durian. Uh, really thebump.com? You should update your fruit because I think this one is lame. On top of that, 35 weeks is a coconut. That must be a big-ass coconut!

@megs12914 - I laughed when I saw that fruit. It is commonly known as the world's stinkiest fruit. Great comparison for our LO's - although it will possibly be proved true in comming months LOL!

  • Week: 35 :)

    Fruit/Veggie: Tomatoes!!!

Due Date/RCS Date: Due date is Jan 17th but just was given confirmation from my OB that we are scheduling an inducement Jan 10th or 13th because the orthopedic I want for baby Tasha is leaving for vacation Jan 18th.

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: NST again tomorrow than off to NST and ultrasound again in Monday.

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery: Wether my hubz will be out of town for work or able to be at delivery lol.

    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list? Everything!! Lol I have to decorate and wrap gifts and buy gifts for in laws yet.

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List? Surprisingly I'm almost find just have to mount the monitors :)
  • Week: 36

    Fruit/Veggie: I'm not sure

Due Date/RCS Date: Due date is Jan 8

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: I had an appointment Monday and was 1cm, 80% effaced, baby at -1 station.  Next appointment is Tuesday.  I can't believe I'm admitting this after that epic thread the other night, but I lost my mucus plug today too (ew).  I know none if these things mean imminent labor but it's all making me at least consider that I might go before my due date.

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery: Right now I'm worried about having the baby on Christmas or a day before (meaning I would be in the hospital on Christmas. I realize it's not that big of a deal but it's just on my mind today.  Or having to get to the hospital during a snowstorm since this winter has sucked already.

GTKY: Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list? Just wrapping everything

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" list? Um a lot. Dig all the baby gear out of the basement, clean it and set it up. Figure out we still need to go buy. Install car seat. Pack hospital bag. I'm sure there's more.

  • Week:
    34 weeks!

    Fruit/Veggie:
    Butternut squash

    Due Date/RCS Date:
01/22/14. If we make it that far!

    Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds:
Had U/S yesterday, LO is about 4 pounds 13 ounces and already has a head full of hair! Everything seems perfect, get results Tuesday, and she's in position and ready to go! If my BP goes up any more, or doesn't go back down when I lay on my side then we will be induced. So I'm a ticking time bomb these next 6 weeks as my BP is slowly climbing, and not going down as much when on my side.

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery:
That something will happen to LO, or that I won't be able to handle the stress on my heart with tachycardia and will have to have an emergency c-section.

    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list?
Nothing really, not doing much this year with the baby coming and everything

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List?
There's too much to list!! But thankfully it's getting shorter and shorter every week. Lol
  • Week: 33

    Fruit/Veggie: Durian?!?

    Due Date/RCS Date: January 29

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: Dec. 18 is my next appointment.

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery:
Honestly it is the uncertainty of not knowing when it will take place. I really wish that I could have an induction just so we can plan childcare, I can wrap up things at work, etc. I can not believe that the baby will be coming so soon...and I am way behind most of you!!

    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list?
Still have to buy presents for DH's side of the family, but I am officially putting that on his "to do" list. I have to wrap everything. Christmas cards are done. I have to get the guest room in order for my parents, but that and the presents are the only things I am really concerned about.

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List?
We had a snow day here yesterday, so I washed all the baby stuff that my boss gave me (since this is my first girl and we have nothing for girls). That was a big to do. I have to pack my hospital bag, test out my breast pump (to see if it is still functional), and get a bunch of smaller items like diapers, wipes, etc. I'm in a good enough place that if she were to come tomorrow, I would probably be fine.

  • Week: 37 weeks

    Fruit/Veggie: winter melon

    Due Date/RCS Date:1/1

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: appointment in an hour.... No ultrasound until 41 weeks (which I'm hoping will not happen)

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery:
That he will be too big for me to handle going naturally

    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list? Everything!!! We have done nothing for Christmas yet! Not even shopping

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List?
Finish buying stuff of registry and organize his nursery... Otherwise we are done!

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery: is it okay if I say EVERYTHING?!!

    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list? Tree, decorating, shopping...lol  but my only concern is really MHs gift

....Yes I know, I'm a major slacker. Please don't judge!

  • Week: 35 weeks! Woooo for 35/35!! :D

Fruit/Veggie: I don't know, I stopped paying attention because they seem to have gotten quite inaccurate

    Due Date/RCS Date: January 15

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: Next week I start weekly appts. I get the strep b swab next week (eeep!)

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery: Not knowing if I'll be able to give birth vaginally, or being able to handle the pain. The idea of having to get medication for whatever reason scares me.

    GTKY:

Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list? I need to finish making some presents, and then wrapping everything. Christmas this year is going to be super low key.

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List? I still need to pick up a few things for baby, my hospital bag, nurses gift bag, and for the apt. Also have to organize the apt a bit more to set everything up and make it baby friendly. Oh, and make some freezer meals (after I make room in the freezer).

  • Week: 37

    Fruit/Veggie: Winter Melon

    Due Date/RCS Date: 01/01/2014

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: I had a cervical check today. Still no dilation, but the doctor said that she easily could've poked right through because it's so thin. I thanked her very much for not going there! Next week is another growth scan.

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery: My child's monster head! I really want to deliver vaginally, but the doctor is not so sure.
    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list? Shopping, wrapping, cards.. heck, I'm not even through decorating!

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List? I get depressed every time I think about it. The hospital bag still isn't packed, the swaddling blankets still aren't washed, and I've even started to question the name we've had picked out for 7 months. Yikes!
  • I'm late too!

    Week:
    33

Fruit/Veggie: Durian - ewww, that's the stinky fruit.

Due Date/RCS Date: still 1/29, measuring right on track.

Upcoming Appts/Milestones/Ultrasounds: Appt next week which includes the swab. Lovely.

What are you most anxious about when it comes to labour/delivery: Well I was nervous about having a freak occurrence of a brow-presentation again (had with DS2) but now I'm nervous about giving birth in a garage :)

    GTKY:
Holidays are around the corner. What's left on your "Holiday To Do" list?
Finish gift buying (I'm about 75% done). Wrap everything. But we don't celebrate Christmas, we do gift on the New Years (a Russian thing) so I have an extra week.

What's left on your "Baby/Pregnancy To Do" List?
Pack the hospital bag, convert toddler bed back to crib, wash blankets, get stuff out of basement. Clearly, I'm in denial and have much to do :)

  • Fashionably late here!

    Week: 35/35 woo hoooo!

Fruit: stopped keepin track of that ish

Due Date: January 15th :) almost a month away!

Upcoming appointments/milestones/ ultrasounds: Have my 36 week apt. Next week and will have a cervical check and the Strep B Swab. Everything is on track and going well.

What are you most anxious about regarding labor and delivery? Regarding the delivery portion, I'm scared as ish to get a catheter with all the UTI issues I've had and also about getting an epidural. I think I'm most concerned though, about the recovery portion and learning how to breastfeed etc... I'm worried I won't get the hang of it and its going to be difficult as your husband can't really help with feeding and getting up in the middle of the night.

Holidays are around the corner, what's on your to-do list? Nothing as we are moving tomorrow and will not be getting a Christmas tree or exchanging gifts as we simply don't have time.

What's left on your baby to to list? What's not on the list! We are moving tomorrow so I don't have a nursery set up yet, anything washed, anything out of the boxes from the baby shower, car seat installed, birth plan completed, hospital bag packed and new to wash the car. We have both our parents helping and we have movers, so I'm hoping we have everything done by the end of the weekend or next weekend in case he comes early. I'm def stressed just thinking about it and even more so now that I just wrote everything out! Gahhh
