My pedi said when baby can roll over by himself. Sure enough, a few days after that visit, he rolled onto his tummy for the first time and has been sleeping like that since. This was around 4 months.
I have been told to put baby to sleep on her back, but if she rolls over to her side or stomach it is ok to leave her that way. So in this case, its not a height or weight issue.

When she can get in that position by herself. Here is a quote from the NICHD "If your baby rolls over on his or her own during sleep, you do not need to turn the baby over onto his or her back. The important thing is that your baby starts every sleep time on his or her back to reduce the risk of SIDS, and that there is no soft, loose bedding in the baby's sleep area." Hope that helps, good luck!
What pps said. Most babies have an easier time rolling from belly to back than back to front, so if you lay then down on their back, whatever they do is fine. Do stop swaddling, though, or baby doesn't have the control needed to get out of problematic positrons, even if they get into those positions on their own.
