I'm probably 2/3 through the more violent portion and I've been nursing the whole time. Howell has it too so here's hoping for antibodies. I can tell my supply has taken a hit, though. Anyone come out of a dehydrating illness and save their milk supply? I'm not devastated like I was at five weeks post mastitis but I'd love to keep at it. Thanks.

I'm sorry, girl. That stinks that you are sick. It's the worst!!

I think as long as you keep nursing your supply will replenish itself once you rehydrate and get better. I had a flu when Em was about 4 months old and I took a big hit but I just nursed him around the clock and I was no worse for the wear eventually.

Baker, I started taking brewers yeast pills after my supply took a hit a few weeks ago cause of the same reason. It helped to bring it back. Its so hard when you don't feel like eating/drinking anything.

Mine took a hit, and I'm not sure it came back to where it was (was sick 2-3 weeks ago). But DD is/was only nursing once or twice a day, so I didn't have a ton to begin with. When she nurses in the morning it seems like she still gets a decent amount. If she asks for it any other time during the day there isn't much to be had.

I think if he keeps nursing and you get re hydrated your supply should be ok. At least that's been my experience. Hope you feel better soon!
