Has CottonBabies ever done this to you?

I ordered 6 BG 4.0's with the B5G1 sale on Cyber Monday.  I got a call from them asking if they could replace one of the prints with something else.  We agreed on a replacement color.  I got my package a few days ago and they sent me Freetimes and one of them was aplix (I only ordered snap).  I'm so pissed.  My order clearly said 4.0.  I feel like they sold out of everything so they just replaced it with whatever they had.  Maybe someone just read the receipt wrong, but since they included the aplix, I really feel like they were just sending me whatever.  I had to pay $17 to send it back to them.  I haven't had a chance to call them yet, but I'm going to ask for some reimbursement for the shipping (like maybe a free diaper!).  

Have they ever screwed up your order this much?  Any chance they'll reimbursement for the shipping?

  • No help, but why were they asking to replace one of the prints? And why would you have to pay shipping in the first place? It all seems odd...

  • I ordered one of the Irwin-multi prints and I guess they were out, so someone called to ask if there was another color/print that I would want instead.  Also, I didn't pay for shipping when I ordered.  I had to pay shipping to send it BACK to them.  They didn't include a prepaid return shipping label, so I had no choice.

    I guess I should have called first.  But their return policy says to go online and "register" your return with an RMA number.  In the online form, I explained what happened and the RMA number will help me track the process of the return.  I'm going to call right now.

  • I have had some issues with cottonbabies lately.  They are very difficult to get a hold of, just dont give up! I also posted on there FB page and someone finally got back to me. They deleted the comment, but at least they heard me.

    Post it again and express that you're upset your first comment was deleted. I agree it seems very unethical and there's no way I'd spend $17 to send a diaper back. They should have sent a new one and let you keep their mistake.

    No that wasn't my issue! Mine had to do with an order being cancelled and the lady I spoke to reinstated the order that was in my cart as well as I order I was calling to be reinstated. I hadn't completed the order in my cart, was actually unsure if I wanted the order, and the lady did it with out my consent.

  • Yes they resolved my issue. They are sending me a free flip cover.  Still upset with them and if I didnt love BG so much and their deals I probably wouldnt shop there anymore.

    This. And if I have an initial issue, I may send a PM on FB and let them deal with it that way first. If I really want them to pay attention to me, I would post it on their wall. Deleting it does seem sketchy, but would posting on your own status and tagging them achieve the same public result? It would prevent them from deleting I think.
  • They sent me the wrong diaper once, I called them, they sent me the correct one and let me keep the other one (these were part of the seconds sale).  Definitely call them!

  • They sent me the wrong diaper last week. I called and they sent me a new one free of charge and I got to keep the other one for the "inconvenience".

  • Dangit, I feel like an idiot now.  But I truly didn't want the freetimes, even if they let me keep them.  And I definitely don't want the aplix.  I guess I could have sold them.  Oh well, lesson learned! :(

  • Yeah, I just posted yesterday about my cottonbabies woes.  it seriously must be crazy there lately, because I've ordered from them tons of times before and never had an issue.

    I agree. I've never had anything but stellar customer service from them.

    I've never ordered anything from the site, as I am new to CDing, BUT I did ask a few friends which sites were best and was told by two different people not to deal with them, so I am assuming they had issues too.




    ETA: As some PP's have stated, mostly all companies, not just CD companies, will let you keep an item they have sent you in error and re-send the correct item. It usually turns out to be more of a hassle and a greater expense for both the company and the customer to send the item back.

  • Update:  I called and she said as long as the package has the RMA number on it, they should have no problem processing it.  Also, she said she would include a free diaper to reimburse me for the shipping.  I'm relieved but still skeptical until I actually receive my corrected order.

    this shocks me.  the last two weeks are seriously the first time i've EVER heard anyone say anything slightly negative about cottonbabies


    This is the first time I have had any issues with them either and they were great about fixing it minus deleting my comment from FB (which I kinda get). Most of my BG stash is from them.
