I feel that way about almost all of the episodes this season. I was really hoping that the finale would put a little hope back into the show but who am I kidding!
Sorry @chapski. I'm hoping I change my mind after watching it, but Jax = Clay, not John.
I can't believe it! But yet I can, because like @GhostMonkey said, it's Kurt Sutter. That being said, I disliked Tara and won't miss her. I am curious to see what happens since Gemma killed her and Juice is helping her. I liked the cop and it's sad he died.
It took my breath away. I have really conflicted feelings about Tara, but I didn't want to see her killed. I don't really expect a happy ending for Jax, but I'm not going to lie--I wanted one for him and Tara.
And it frustrates me that I've spent all this time pulling for Jax, hoping that he'll turn out better, but I don't really think he will. He'll just be back where he started. With Wendy, trying to keep her off drugs, in a club that he thought he could turn around but can't, never really happy, repeating all of the mistakes his father and Clay made.
I'm sure my feelings will change a million times. I feel like I need counseling after last nights episode though.
I know that Sutter said there'd be no happy endings...but I still hoped for them. I really wanted at least Tara and the boys to make it out alive, like Jax sacrificed to set them free. Which he intended to do, but, you know, fucking Gemma.
Now my new purpose is to watch the show and see Gemma get hers.
I am not her biggest fan either but damn that was crazy. And I honestly felt so bad for Jax. I'm legitimately concerned for what he will do next season. You can't keep secrets for long in Charming...
I was shocked that Gemma did it though. Will Jax take the fall with Patterson for that one??
@jgrl613 I wonder if he'll get back together with Wendy. I can the show finale now - he gets Wendy KTFU and she's back on drugs and it ends exactly as Season 1 started! Although that is not at all how I'd want it to end, I can see that being a Sutter ending.
@Rae1105 I think she could if Sutter is going for a happy ending, but I am just projecting what I think Sutter will do (I love Sutter BTW. I follow him on Twitter and he's pretty funny.) Ideally she would get clean and not end with Jax.

Sutter did already say it wasn't going to be a happy ending. I just still can't process the episode.

I have a hard time believing that Gemma would let her son go to jail/be sentenced to death for a crime she committed. Girl is crazy, but everything she does is to keep her family around her.

I know, that's what GM said above. I know it's long time away, but I just keep thinking "where are they going with this?"
I'm curious as to how the Gemma and Juice thing will play out. Don't you think Gemma will be the first person Jax suspects? Juice is probably as good as dead anyway.
I think it will be a waste of time for the show to even entertain that Jax killed either of them. The evidence won't match, and why would he do that just before he KNEW they were coming to arrest him.
I don't know what Gemma will do, but she won't let her son take the fall for her murder.
I kinda feel like Jax will kill Gemma. Unless Juice kills Gemma for Jax to win back his favor? Like, maybe Juice is playing Gemma to redeem himself? I don't know. It is all so convoluted. I am certain, though, that Gemma will die.

When Jax finds out it was Gemma, that will be the final nail in her coffin. As much as i'd like to think maybe Juice would have to kill her to take the fall, the fact that he helped her most likely will be seen as an accomplice. I don't think Jax will take that lightly at all. In that interview I posted, Sutter said that they (Juice and Gemma) are "bonded in their betrayal of Jax"
I absolutely agree. Jax will be in jail and the remaining characters....? I don't know that I am invested enough or that their storyline even matters. And watching Abel see and understand where his dad is going and that is mom is gone? No thanks.
I would love to quit it but I know I won't. I will have to watch and feel all the sad emotions because I a glutton. I just can't believe they actually did it in that way.

I knew that keeping Gemma around was going to ultimately lead to Jax (and family's) demise. Maybe I'm just too shocked to think clearly, but does it matter what happens to Gemma and Juice at this point? The only thing that was really opening Gemma's heart was Nero- they're done. Juice will do anything to stay in the club because frankly, he's sacrificed everything. (Life of a 1%er) While I definitely don't agree with some of the things Tara did, ultimately, she was the only one that had the boys' best interest in mind. She's the only one that really tried to provide them with a different life at all costs.

I dunno. I'm at a loss.
I definitely agree with the bolded. And even Jax knew that. He knew when they talked that if she didn't get them out it would a vicious full circle back to them, just like what happened to him. That's why he was taking the fall. To take them away from it all. Apparently, her death was essential to Jax becoming the final man that Sutter had in mind the whole time.
I was kind of confused, did Nero end things with Gemma because of what Jax did or because she wouldn't leave with him? I was, admittedly, a little intoxicated while I watched and that just flew right over my head.

I think Nero was getting sucked back into a life he had gotten away from and finding out what jax did really made that clear to him. I think what the Mayan prez said was true- about how it's not often that guys like them find a relationship like that. Right? I might need to watch that scene again. Ultimately, Gemma won't turn away from that life so they didn't want the same things.
That's how I understood it. I could be wrong though. I was only half paying attention because I wanted them to hurry up so I could see what was going to happen with jax and Tara.
I figured it was something like that ^ I just wasn't completely sure. Did he go to the meeting at the end because he realized he COULDN'T get out of that life? I was least concerned about that story line, obviously.
Re: Sons of Anarchy (spoilers)
OMG, there are no words!!
I'm sad about the cop though.
I'm going to watch this today and I can't freaking wait!! Can't wait to talk about it too...
By the way, I don't think I said it in last week's SOA post, but
<-----emkatrine.
Sorry @chapski. I'm hoping I change my mind after watching it, but Jax = Clay, not John.
Also, do you know how hard it is to censor what I am saying since you haven't seen it. I'm trying damnit.
I'm planning on watching it this morning.
I am so glad there is a thread about this.

I don't think I can wait a whole year!!!!
this is a pretty good interview with Kurt Sutter in regards to "what's next"
I am also curious why Patterson didn't stay in the house with her? I guess because they thought it was Unser and they trust him?
When Gemma started drowning her and the subsequently stabbing her, the only thing my roommate could say was "OMG that's bleach water though!"
dude, in the craziest way! shellshocked is the only way to describe it

But who is he going to be with cause I need more Jax Ass in my life
