First of all, thank you @pennstated912 for updating the board. I know I don't post here a ton (though, I don't know why! I really should start posting more...), but I know a few of you from GP/GPMoms on The Nest, so this might be repeat information.
Short story: I was worried about decreased movement (not NO movement, just decreased), and decided to call to see if I could get an NST. They had me come in and I got to the hospital at around 3:00 or so. The NST showed "sinusoidal" heartrate, which caused everyone to go into a panic and Elle was delivered at 4:03 pm on 12/7. She weighed 5 lbs 10 oz and was 18.5 inches long.
We aren't sure why or what happened and probably will never know for sure. All we know is that she was bleeding either into me or the placenta. When they opened me up, they did discover that the placenta had started to detach, but there weren't the usual signs of long-term detachment (no clotting, etc.). I had absolutely no pain in the days prior, so we aren't sure when this happened. I did have some pain right before the c-section, but it felt more like RLP and wasn't excruciating. I also never had any bleeding, so it's hard to say when, why, or why it detached, especially since the pregnancy had been textbook perfect up until that point. All I know is that we are *very* lucky I decided to go in when I did. I would probably now be the mother of another angel baby had I not listened to my worries and called when I did.
Elle is still in the NICU but they are telling us she *may* get to go home tomorrow, and if not then, then on Thursday. She is doing remarkably well for having three blood transfusions within hours of her birth and getting dangerously low on hemoglobin and iron. She is my little fighter and I'm so incredibly in love with her that it's hard to put into words.
ETA: I don't have any pics on this computer, but I will try to post some later when I have some time.
