Facebook announcement: need some feedback!

I know lots of people have posted their announcements, and they're all SO cute, I'm starting to get nervous about mine (which I haven't posted yet.) My MIL acted kind of "meh" when I showed her so that worried me a little (SIL just announced too and MIL was obsessed with that one.) Is it totally dumb or does it look ok? Can you read it despite the curves and lights? I don't really "do" Facebook that much so I think I'm going to be self-conscious about whatever I post, but my husband wanted us to do something. Just hoping to hear some honest feedback before taking the plunge. Thanks for looking

Oh guys, thank you SO MUCH for your sweet comments. I really needed to hear that. I was already apprehensive before hearing my MIL's reaction, and after that I felt totally deflated since that was the only outside opinion I heard besides my husband and my own mom (and they both like everything of course haha).

@cas889 and @MrsAMB07 My SIL did a photo of their dog that had "Baby (Last Name) guard dog duty starting June 2014". I think that while my MIL is equally excited about her two grandchildren on the way, but she's (somewhat understandably) more partial to the fact that her daughter is pregnant. My MIL is sweet to me, but there have been a couple of unfair comparisons. Whatever, I'm fine with it. I'm excited for my SIL (she is only 2.5 weeks behind me!) and I really can't complain about my in-laws because any problems we might have are minor. They're great overall.

@AshB11, @HeyAmberNicole and @FutureMrsW9 I made it actually! I do wedding chalkboards on etsy as a little side gig and thought it would be nice to do something similar to my designs

Haha thanks! I considered it for .2 seconds but I'm already having to cut back on my normal etsy orders from being so fatigued, but maybe next year (when I have 6 month old...yeah right haha)

@CDK211 that sounds adorable!! I used paint pens...I'd recommend the sharpie brand of paint pen because they're oil-based and I think stick to glossy surfaces better. They don't smell TOO bad but I'd try to be somewhere ventilated if possible.

Other tips to consider for those thinking about doing this are to get as big of an ornament as you can, because you'll have more control when the writing is larger. This ornament had like a 4" diameter I think. It was a plastic, "shatter proof" type but I really wish I could have found a matte, glass one because it would have been easier to write on. And like I said above, I used the Sharpie brand paint pens!
