  My parents got this for DS for Christmas and I have a feeling he's going to love this thing! I believe they purchased it from Sam's Club.

  DD loves toddler-sized furniture.  However, for reading together I prefer adult-sized furniture.  We read in the glider every night with DD.  DS moved to a twin bed when he was about 2 years old, which was great for snuggling with him to read bedtime stories.  Even better, he has had a full-sized bed since he was about 3.

  For reading together I would go full-size something so it is comfortable for you. But my DD loves her Anywhere chair from PB kids. There are also always great looking kids chairs at the Homegoods near me!

  We have a nice futon that we keep as a couch for reading and can use as a guest bed if necessary.

  My son LOVEs his pottery barn everywhere chair! I sit in it with him on my lap to read - well, for the minute he will sit still.... He is 16 months. He loves to climb in and out of it. I like it because the cover is washable and comes out of the washer and dryer looking brand new. And, his name is on it which I think is super cute.

  For reading together I would get a regular adult sized furniture like a comfy recliner or a glider. My dd does have a pottery barn anywhere chair in the living room, but the kids mostly use it for climbing on, not a whole lot of sitting happening in it. Wish we hadn't wasted the money on it. I do like that the cover is machine washable but honestly it's a PITA to take it apart and put it back together again.

  When DD1 was maybe 2 or so we got her one of these Ikea toddler chairs https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10116552/  DH and I had a big adult sized one in our living room and he thought it would be so cute if she had a matching one.  Both girls now love it and fight over sitting in it constantly.

  if it's for reading though, we have a big comfy chair recliner in DD2's room and we'll sit in it and read before bed every night.  it's great though, because even Grandma and Grandpa can sit comfortably in it.

  DD has a cozy arm chair from Pottery barn kids and she absolutely loves it!
