Christmas gift ideas

DS seems to have so many toys already but I don't want to get him just clothes either. Do you all have any different ideas for a Christmas present?

Nope, I am going minimal this year.  DS1 won't now the difference.  Plus, since we are back in the States and living by DH's family, they are going to buy a lot more presents, which is just another reason not to buy too much.

When people ask for suggestions for presents for both DS's, I always suggest contributing to their 529, but DH's family is big on getting "actual" presents for the boys.

I'm getting the girls a big wooden train set and some extra trains and I also picked up a few other little things.  I feel like my house is overrun with toys, so I asked family for the following:
    1) Books - we read 2-4 books every night before bed
    2) Clothes
    3) Membership to the zoo

I like the membership to the zoo idea.

Membership to the kid's museum? DS loves our local one!

Santa is dropping off a package with new pjs for the family & a "Mickey saves Santa" dvd on Christmas Eve, when he get home from the ILs.

Ds is getting a play kitchen & shopping cart for his "Santa" gift. Other than that, I plan on getting him some new plates, cups & silverware. After that, I'm lost.

DH and I decided to make dress-up baskets for both kids.  We have found some really cool pieces for both kids.  SOme of it is new some of it is thrifted.  Considering both kids love to dress-up I am very excited to give them these baskets.  We also do books and clothes.

Puzzles and pretend play are great for this age.

Sorry for the blank post earlier. TB hasn't allowed me to post anything in days!

Me and my parents' ideas -- some DVDs (for the car mostly), rocking chair, puzzles, small drum set with musical toys like shakers because she likes music, maybe a toy camera too and a baby doll...we did a zoo membership for her bday and doing an aquarium membership for christmas since it's nice to go to when it's too cold for the zoo. my parents also give to her savings fund.
