This check-in is not necessarily exercise-related - I know a lot of us are trying to eat healthier and give up bad habits thanks to the motivation of pregnancy/new baby, so any kind of getting healthy is welcome here!
What did you do last week?
What do you have planned for this week?
What is your goal?
QOTW: What's the guilty pleasure/junk food you just can't give up?
And our leader-board for participation ... keep up the good work ladies!
27 weeks in a row for @Pitchslap - good luck with your wisdom tooth extraction (tomorrow??)!!  I had mine done a couple years ago and the worst part of it was not being able to brush my back teeth for days ... blech.
21 weeks for @tttwalters - Excellent work on the running!  I hope the rest of the snowflake series goes well!
20 weeks in a row for @BonnieK10 - Hope your inside exercise plan worked out!
18 weeks in a row for @TheTamedShrew - Red wine doesn't have much in the way of calories anyway :-)  Hope the diet is going well!
17 weeks in a row for @tiffletons518 - I hope your leg has continued its recovery!
13 weeks in a row for @kdc2007 - Awesome work lady!  I find it's not about the weight on the scale so much as how your clothes fit - that's impressive work!!
11 weeks in a row for @calikat80 - I'm super impressed with your pie restraint!!
8 weeks in a row for @phishgirl29 - I hope you can work something out with your DH so you both get to go enjoy the gym!
7 weeks in a row for @NicoleReed0324 and @Acrosthec - @NicoleReed 0324 - well done not gaining over Thanksgiving!  @Acrosthec - Hopefully everybody's over their eye infections and you're back on the exercise bandwagon!
3 weeks in a row for @smellychelly25 - Baby bonding time?  Whatever that is - hope you got more gym time!
And a very warm welcome back to @megaroo64 - I'm impressed with your restarting of the challenges - hope it's going well!

  • Hello! Baby bonding time is the 6-12 weeks you can take when your maternity leave is up. I didn't take it right after and instead went back to work. I thought taking it during the holidays would be better!

What did you do last week? 4 or 5 walks with the jogging stroller. I started drinking more water while at work.
What do you have planned for this week? I have to keep up the drinking water. When I am home I tend to drink less water. I don't know how many walks we will do with this wind, but we will try.
What is your goal? Continue drinking water, tone up and be healthy
QOTW: What's the guilty pleasure/junk food you just can't give up? Cookies! I LOVE cookies

  • Last week- got a couple workouts in. Not as many as I'd like, but I'm using the excuse that we have a LOT going on right now.

This week- I have a session with the trainer at my gym tomorrow. I'm really excited. I generally tend to neglect strength training, and I feel super lost not being able to run or do pretty much anything that I usually do. So, he's gonna help me set something up that will work my butt off, but allow my leg to heal.

Goal- Things keep coming up that continue to make me reassess my goals. Right now, I guess tone up, and try my hardest to lose these last few lbs.

QOTW- Pizza all of the way. I swear I could eat pizza everyday. There are so many delicious kinds that I don't get tired of it. I feel like Bubba Gump when it comes to pizza. Pepperoni, BBQ chicken, BLT, white pizza, spicy sausage, hawaiian... Yah. Pizza.

  • What did you do last week? I went spinning only once and did a lot of long indoor mall walks with the stroller.
What do you have planned for the weekend?  Going to the gym. There's going to be a big adjustment in the way things have been during the day starting next week.  DH starts his paternity leave so we are both going to be home with O.  That being said, I definitely see more gym time in the next month and a half.
What is your goal? Toning my body.
QOTW: What's the guilty pleasure/junk food you just can't give up? Wine and pasta.  I just can't give it up!

  • Last week: only ran or worked out once. In my defense we had our huge annual gala last night so I was really burning the candle at both ends. We are just starting off the season of a million family or evening events all weekend long so I feel like exercise time gets eaten up, which is ok for the memories I guess! I've been a pretty good eater aside from my husband continually bringing me cookies home. He is the devil. And thank you for the pie shout out @musicalsilver! That takes a lot for me!

Next week: try and eat reasonable again. So hard with all the parties! Find time to run at least twice.

Goal: regular pants by Christmas. Not looking so promising, but at least my size 8s are feeling looser.

QOTD: wine and cheese. Like not healthy amounts of protein cheese, more like and entire wheel of Brie in a sitting cheese. GD I love cheese!

  • Last week, you guessed it.. 6 days of turbo! I feel awesome.

This week is more of the same. The workouts are super intense this week. My legs were burning today!

My goal is still no muffin top in those size 4's! I buttoned 6 different pairs of them this weekend and two I would've worn in public haha soooo close!

My guilty pleasure is carbs! Pasta, pizza, bread. Yum yum.
  • last week I ran and picked up the strength training a bit. DH even commented that he can tell I have been doing squats! This week I am working on increasing my mileage a bit and then I will start to taper off and rest a bit in January. my goal was 10lbs by Christmas, I gained 1lb two weeks ago but last week lost 3lbs, @kdc2007, finally our hard work is paying off! my favorite junk food is chocolate, I could never give it up!
