1. What are your favorite websites, blogs, news spots, etc. on the web? Share a few links to sites you love! This can be anything, no necessarily (but can be) kid, TTC, pregnancy, baby, etc. related.

To be honest I mostly just search the web and read things EV sends me, or that I find from friends/family on Facebook. I use the internet for school, craigslist, recipes, the Bump, my Mothers Group, personal business, pinterest, netflix, etc. I like the "i am pregnant" site for updates on baby's development.

2. What do you hope to get for xmas? Do you have something picked out for your SO?

I have no idea, money's tight so I'm not sure we're doing grown-up gifts. I wanted to make EV a digital picture frame and fill it with pics of Kaden, and our travels, etc. We're having a digital photo crisis though and our pics are mostly not on iPhoto anymore but lost on various hard drives. EV is so stressed (she manages it), about having potentially lost images (she wiped her computer to install software for school several times last year). Needless to say its hot button issue and she won't talk about it... There are a few other things she wants but I'd rather surprise her.
For me, I'd really like to go to Disneyland in January for my Birthday (and to visit our friends who moved to LA. They're also pregnant from our donor 1 month behind us, so this visit might be the last before the babies are born).

3. What are your favorite childhood holiday tv specials? I really like Rudolph (the old original) and Frosty. And we watched the Sound of Music often around New Years.

4. What are you wearing right now? Black maternity pants and a beige top with maroon design.

5. What are you up to this weekend? Homework...Homework and supporting EV through her finals. There's a Christmas parade and tree lighting happening downtown on Sunday evening so I might bundle Kaden up and head over there. EV should be done with her semester by Sunday night so she is likely heading out to see Catching Fire solo after the parade. Instead of date nights we split babysitting duty and go off on our own. ;-)

Of course, I love facebook so I can keep in touch with all of my family members that do not live close by. We are a close-knit family and now we can talk almost daily!!!! I am also mildly obsessed with ebates.com (anything to save/earn money, especially if I am going to spend it anyhow). There is the EVER OBVIOUS thebump.com!

2. What do you hope to get for xmas? Do you have something picked out for your SO?
This year I found it really hard to make a list for xmas/chanukkah. I do think that gift cards to lowe's will be the best as my DW and I are trying to redo our landscaping and that would be a great budget-saver. I am already done with my xmas shopping so I have a few things that I am ubber-excited about for M and then just some small tokens of affection for her to enjoy.
3. What are your favorite childhood holiday tv specials?
I do not know that I have any specific holiday tv specials as the holidays are usually time away from the tv
4. What are you wearing right now?
LOL...khakis and a polo shirt with my school's emblem on it (love dress down fridays!)
5. What are you up to this weekend?
There is so much to do leading into the holiday season. We are meeting up with two of our friends tonight (they are expected a baby girl---they just found out the sex today!) and going out for wings then having a game night at our house. Tomorrow is the only day for the next 3 weeks that I think M and I do not have some sort of thing to travel to and participate. We are going to spend it relaxing and doing some movie time together. I am fighting off some sort of illness so I am really looking forward to this! Sunday I have my niece's baptism and then my sister in law is celebrating her graduation from nursing school.....busy busy busy

1. I spend almost all of my online time on gmail, Facebook, and the bump. I was reading the daily comic girls with slingshots for a while but fell behind and haven't caught up.
I periodically check out offbeat home and offbeat bride.
Other than that I follow links from Facebook that take me to all the cool websites for an article, recipe, or video here or there.

2. There isnt much I want. My mom already gave me a winter jacket as an early present. That was the major thing on my list. I can't even remember what things I suggested to my mom.
M and I are doing a low cost homemade presents exchange. I'm excited about the things I plan to make sure but I can't tell you what they are because she will see!

3. Christmas tv specials? I don't think I actually know what this means. I always think of Christmas movies. It was "Christmas story" for me growing up.

4. Black pants. They are technically athletic pants but everyone says they look like regular black pants so I'm pretending they are. A black t-shirt. And a purple argyle v neck sweater (from old navy).

5. Babysitting this evening. Tomorrow afternoon I have a meeting of the dissertation group I'm a part of. We take turns reading each other's chapter drafts. So Saturday morning I have to read the chapter for the meeting. Saturday evening M and I are going to her/our friend's drag and comedy show. Sunday is a bit open. I need to spend a couple hours working on reference letters for students who were in my class last year and are now applying for graduate school. Also we have a whole lot of thank you cards still to write from our love party.

Right now, The Bump is at the top of my list. I do get on FB, but I'm really not enjoying it for the most part anymore. I use the Pinterest app on my phone. I really only get on our laptop to pay bills and get on here besides when I'm mobile bumping.

2. What do you hope to get for xmas? Do you have something picked out for your SO?

All C and I really need is money. I'm hoping we get gift cards that we've requested. I believe my Mom is getting us a Keurig. I'm kind of excited for that. I do have something planned for C, but can't post it because she has expressed interest in getting on here now.

3. What are your favorite childhood holiday tv specials?

I used to watch Rudolph, but haven't in years. I'm really not big into holiday tv stuff.

4. What are you wearing right now?

My t-shirt from Buffalo Pride two years ago and grey capri sweats. It is cold outside but nice and cozy in our house thanks to the woodstove.

5. What are you up to this weekend?

Our usual bowling on Saturday night. Looks like we're planning to go to our local bar afterward to see a musician we like. Sunday we might meet some friends for breakfast.

This is one of the free range cattle that we ran into (almost literally) during our trip in California. Never did I imagine California had cattle next to the ocean! When we were talking about driving along the coast, I had pictured a flat, straight road along the beach. Boy was I wrong! We live out in the middle of nowhere with farms everywhere. Seeing cattle isn't a big deal, even seeing them in the road is no biggie. Just not something I expected to see out there.

I use Pinterest, mostly for food, but I don't go on it more than once or twice a week. I used to read a lot of food blogs, but when they got rid of Google Reader I forgot to move them all over and ended up just giving up on most of them. So these days it's pretty much TB, FB and Gmail.

2. What do you hope to get for xmas? Do you have something picked out for your SO?

A healthy Maternity21 test? Might be too soon.

There are a bunch of practical things on my list -- new winter coat because I am too fat for the old one, new cutting boards, etc -- but there's nothing that I'm really pining for. I bought my wife's present on Cyber Monday, but I'm not telling you what it is.

3. What are your favorite childhood holiday tv specials?

Rudolph and the Charlie Brown Christmas special.

4. What are you wearing right now?

Oh damn, I've already come home and changed into jammies, so you're going to see how truly glamorous I am. Red fleece pants with snowflakes on them, a brown t-shirt, and my wife's old college sweatshirt. Hot.

5. What are you up to this weekend?

Well, I kicked off the weekend by picking up what should be my LAST box of Endometrin from the fertility pharmacy after work! Tomorrow we're decorating the tree (it's up already) and the rest of the house. We also need to clean up a bit. On Sunday I'm going to a cookie swap at my sister's house.

I don't really have any- there is some mom-blog about the wonder weeks I read occasionally, and friends LJ's and FB's. And a bunch of adoption ones.

Getting SO: cufflinks with photos of bean on them, shirt and tie (like always) and a few other various things I know he wants.

year without a santa claus, miracle on 34th street.

Pajama shorts and a cami

Tonight we did some xmas shopping and put up our new artificial tree, tomorrow we're going to visit friends upstate, Sunday church and more tree/house decorating.

I am probably on thebump and facebook the most. I check out pinterest on occasion and news sites to see what is going on in the world.

I already have my wife's present picked out and ordered. I just have to pick it up. I want practical stuff, clothes, new pots and pans, exciting stuff!

My new black comfy pants I bought on black friday, they turned out to be the wrong style and they fit more like mchammer pants. I shouldn't wear them in public

5. What are you up to this weekend?

It looks like I am going to spend the weekend at my RE's office. I am annoyed that my cycle is jacked up this month and my follies aren't growing as they should. We had an appointment this morning and have another one tomorrow morning. Ugh! I just want to sleep in! Tonight we are babysitting a friends baby overnight and also watching the Ohio State vs Michigan State game.

Good question. I read a lot of huffington post, pregnant chicken cracks me up, other random sites via FB.

A wad of cash, haha just kidding. There isn't really anything I want. My wife always does super cute things so I'm excited to see what she does this year. I have no clue what I am going to get her. I need to figure it out pronto though.

3. What are your favorite childhood holiday tv specials?

The claymation old school Rudolph, Frosty and the old Grinch.

4. What are you wearing right now?
I have a migraine so I'm still laying in bed with a black tank and red basketball shorts on. Wifey is at the store so I'll get up and get busy when she gets back, she ordered me to stay here and get better while she was gone.

5. What are you up to this weekend?

Today we are going to watch the MLS chamipionship (Go RSL) with some friends and are making some bbq wings to bring over. Then later we are going to a lesbian professionals social and then we are crashing one of our best friends wedding proposal. They have been together almost as long as my wife and I and she is the one who introduced us, thus starting our love story. I'm so happy for them and am excited to have more married lesbian friends

I love nameberry dot com for baby names, etsy for looking at cool stuff, the onion cracks me up.

2. What do you hope to get for xmas? Do you have something picked out for your SO?

I'll take a positive pregnancy test, Santa. Seriously, J and I are donating to our super-cool indie radio station and getting a tile on their new building at Seattle Center under the Space Needle! It was her idea, and she is not terribly sentimental, but came up with a song quote she texted me when we were first dating and said she wanted to do the tile for our Christmas gift to each other and that "we can take our kids to see it someday..." - which floored me that she was thinking about it that way! I got her a bunch of little odds and ends, and had a few groupons I used for one metal and one canvas print from our wedding for our house.

3. What are your favorite childhood holiday tv specials?

Oh I loved The Year Without a Santa Claus (land of misfit toys)! And I loved the heat miser/cold miser. Oddly, I never saw It's a Wonderful Life until I was a grown-up! What was wrong with my parents!?!?

4. What are you wearing right now?

At 2:45 on a Saturday, I'm still in my jammies - I had to work all morning and been catching up on computer stuff. Lame! Plus a hoodie b/c it is cold!

5. What are you up to this weekend?
Last night my family was over for a cookie swap and stocking exchange. Growing up we did stockings on St. Nick's Day (I never had a stocking on Christmas) and one of my sisters wanted to revive the tradition, even though we are all grown-ups now. So, my mom, 3 sisters, my bro-in-law and J were all here.
Tonight is the big work holiday party at the Seattle Art Museum, but J wants to get out of it.
Tomorrow night we're seeing Jeff Tweedy (Wilco)!

SUPER late to this game, but I'm doing it anyway since I'm trying to get back into being an active member of this board!

Honestly I've had so little time to be online lately, I don't have much to contribute here.

2. What do you hope to get for xmas? Do you have something picked out for your SO?

S's Mom is giving us swimming lessons at the Y for Gabe (with us, of course).

I would LOVE to get an automatic car starter for my car, and our parents typically give us a check, so it's feasible. Living in MN without a heated garage, parking on the street, PLUS a kid in a carseat, AND a pump bag to cart to and from work every day ... well ... that car starter is kind of a must.

With the job switch and the kid, I no longer travel for work and we won't be traveling for pleasure very much (except to visit family) so I cashed in a lot of hotel points and ordered the Vitamix blender that S has been wanting for YEARS. I can't WAIT to have her open it.

3. What are your favorite childhood holiday tv specials?

Not really holiday related, but they were always aired around the holidays - The Sound of Music, and Oklahoma. Yeah, I'm a musicals geek.

4. What are you wearing right now

My favorite gray striped cashmere sweater and black pants.

5. What are you up to this weekend?

It's S's birthday, though she has to work and we don't have any special plans. But we have friends that want to get together and share their hoard of craft beers, so THAT is exciting.
