Beta # 2!

Well I have calmed down quite a bit since yesterday and DID NOT test again yesterday or today and don't plan on it! I got my 2nd beta back and it was 122 on Sunday 11dp3dt and today it was 302 at 13dp3dt! That's a doubling time of 36.1 hrs...I can't express how relieved I felt when she called! I was shaking and just so happy. So we have now gotten through 2 hurdles! Our first u/s is scheduled for next Thursday 12/19 at 5weeks 4days which is early but we leave for Europe next Friday (kind of wish we weren't going now). I'm assuming we probably shouldn't expect to hear a heartbeat yet correct? I am just excited to see a sac and how many there are! We have another u/s schedule for the 30th when we get back!

I am so happy to be here with you lovely ladies and hope I stick around for 9 months.

Great betas!

You are right, you probably will not see/hear a heartbeat, but you could very well see the sac!

I saw the sac at 5w2d and then saw a flicker of the heartbeat last week at 6w4d but the doc said that it was still early and on Thursday at 7w4d, I will probably get to see and hear the heartbeat even better than last week!

That's a fabulous second beta... Congrats! At 5w4d, I would say it's probably unlikely you will see a HB, but possible. I had early ultrasounds with DS and this LO (both around that time), and didn't see HBs either time. But saw healthy heartbeats on the next u/s with both! Have a great time in Europe! DH and I had our honeymoon in England/Scotland and it was so much fun.
