How do you keep gloves/mittens on your kids? Whenever I put them on DS, he looks at me and says "All done, off! Please off!" and takes them off to the best of his abilities.
I put them on first and then put the coat on. This seems to defer her from pulling them off for just enough time to get to the car and to daycare. If we are in the car for too long, like shopping, then she takes them off with her teeth.
We do have a thread that runs inside her jacket so she doesn't loose them. We also tuck them into her jacket...but she has learned how to bite them to pull them off.
I was just going to post this question today too! She screams at me and throws her mittens and hat on the ground. Its frustrating! I have some of the longer mittens that she wears at daycare out in the snow (and she cannot get those off), but the lighter-weight ones we wear in the car do not stay on ever. Guess I'll have to wrestle her to get the seriously warm ones on her when it is really cold out.
Re: Cold weather mamas
Even a minor event in the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world event.
