Any thoughts on what this might mean? (CM? TMI)

So I chart my CM, but don't chart my temp.

I'm pretty regular, and I assume I'm ovulating based on my CM.

I pretty much always have 2 days of watery CM, and then 1 - 2 days of EWCM.

This month, I had the above, followed by a further 2 days of watery CM, and then today have EWCM again.

So just curious if it could mean anything or nothing? Could it be that I ovulated later than normal, and that the first round of EWCM was jus a hormone surge? or the latter EWCM was a hormone surge? Could I have ovulated a second egg?

Anyone know anything or have any thoughts? Today I'm crampy as well if that adds anything to your thoughts.

    It would be rare to ovulate a second egg... you probably tried to O then didn't then your body tried again and you might have.  No way to tell without charting though...   good luck!

    Unfortunately this kind of scenario is exactly what temping helps to clear up - it's impossible to know what it means without also seeing your temps.  It's very unlikely to be a second egg, that's extremely rare.  You've outlined the other possibility which is more likely, that you didn't actually ovulate until the second round of EWCM.  Or it could just be that you had a random bit of EWCM unrelated to anything, that does happen more commonly than you might think.  I for one often get random bits of EWCM through my LP, but I temp and so can see that it means nothing significant for my cycle.  I'm afraid you'll just have to wait it out and see if you have a longer than normal LP or not.  Good luck!

    AS the others said you can get fertile cm through out different times in a cycle... I hope you timed it well!

    My Ovulation Chart


    Me: 41 DH: 46. We are TTC our 1st, started July '11,
    3 cycles clomid with Ob,
    1 cycle Tamoxifen with Ob,
    Diagnosed PCOS 11/5/12
    clomid, trigger & timed bd 12/12 BFN
    1st clomid IUI 1/4/13 BFN.
    2nd clomid IUI 2/13 cancelled didn't respond to clomid.
    3/15/13 scheduled laparoscopy & on bcp.

    May 10 IUI from injectibles - BFN 

    May 22 done with interventions it will either happen or it won't. 

    February 2014 No longer actively trying, but not preventing. 

    SURPISE BFP 4/2/2015!!!!!!!!!!

    Me too! But realistically we had sex 4 days before what would be my normal ovulation time, due to ongoing sickness with the girls and DH, so if we did manage to get pregnant this cycle, it would be a little bit like the immaculate conception.
