awww thanks for asking, she is doing better, the prescribed cream cleared up the yeast infection and the VCUG results came back on Thurs. normal....so glad that's over.
so my husband installed our Britax marathon last night forward facing b/c the instruction book says forward facing at 1 year and 20 lbs. she is both of those but I feel like it's too early; hence, this poll to see if anyone is forward facing
I voted convertable seat rear facing, but in one car we use her infant seat because she hasn't out grown that yet and that is obviously rear facing...
I will be keeping her rear facing until she's AT LEAST two.. Probably longer.
Same. DH still has the infant carrier in his car. We're about to get another convertible for his car though and plan to RF until at least two.
Yes, it's legal to FF at 1 year AND 20 pounds, but it's not what is recommended.
DD is rear facing in a convertible seat with me, but rear facing in her infant seat with DH and my mom. We're getting two more convertible car seats for Christmas so she should be in all convertible car seats rear facing within the next month. We're going to try to keep her rear facing for as long as possible, but she's already kicking the seat.
@luckylove23 They are on Amazon for $269 right now, which is sorta standard for Amazon I've noticed over the last few months. We bought our last one at Buy Buy Baby with a 20% off coupon. If you sign up for their mailing list (or Bed Bath and Beyond) they send out the 20% coupons all the time. I haven't ever seen them for cheaper than that, but here's to hoping!
@luckylove23 if you happen to get it on amazon and it goes cheaper within 30 days (or something), you can get refunded the difference. We ended up getting ours for 240ish because of that, but when I went to buy a second one, the price was back up.
It has a base on it that's for rear facing position that we will be removing so he doesn't sit so tall.
But in the past few weeks he started fighting wanting to get into his seat facing away from us. We did a test ride with his seat the day we got it. He was laughing and giggling. And (an excuse) but non the less, I can't stand to listen to Zane cry or whine right now esp. in small spaces. He is as happy as a clam that he can see us.

Baby's cries should not trump baby's safety. Honestly, I'd keep him rear facing. Even the AAP recommends rear facing until AT LEAST 2 years old. Just because you legally can do something does NOT mean that you should.
^^^What she said. The AAP recommends at least 2. Your child is 532% safer rear facing than forward facing. My comfort of not listening to my child cry is not worth their safety. It is our job as mothers to do what is best for our children not for ourselves.
We welcomed our girls on 11.7.12 @ 40w0d!
