Re: TTT
1. Greetings from snowy Philadelphia. We are supposed to get up to 6 inches of snow today. It started around 7am, so I got to work insanely early to avoid driving in the snow this AM. Now I am hunkered down and watching the snow fall out the window. Hoping my drive home later isn't a total mess. Philadelphia does not deal with snow well.
2. My wife has a snow day (when public schools are closed, so is she). I am jealous.
3. 15 weeks today. Surreal.
4. I am thinking about @herbabymama - can't wait for an update!
5. I am so happy to see so much good news in the last couple of days -- @2mamazinseattle's BFP was a great way to start of the week! Now @Flygirl got her BFP too, and @firstcomeslove2013 finished her MBA. Great stuff! I hope the good news keeps rolling in this week. We could all use it!
6. I didn't sleep well last night at all. I am currently tired, I have a stiff neck and I am trying super hard to fight the urge to be cranky. Must.Not.Be.Cranky!!!
7. I brought butternut squash soup for lunch today. It seemed like a good fit for the weather today. I am looking forward to it. It is only 9:30am though, currently, so I have a ways to go until I get to enjoy it.
8. So, my boss is working from home today on account of the snow and I am in the office attending his meetings on his behalf. I am kind of annoyed by this. He didn't even call me to tell me/ask me, or check to make sure that I was able to make it in and stay all day. He had his assistant just forward several of his meetings to me. Remember how I wasn't going to be cranky? Working on it...
9. My mother had a saying when I was growing up: "it is snowing to beat the band outside!"... No one around here has ever heard of this saying, and when I say it I get crazy looks haha. My mother either made it up, or it is a New England thing. Either way, it is definitely snowing to beat the band outside right now.
10. I have had a semi-productive morning. So there's that. I feel as though the afternoon will not be quite as productive... I am going to have a hard time not stressing about the condition of the roads outside. When did I become THAT person?!?!?
Me - 30, My wife - 31 , Together for 10 yrs - Married August 2012
5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN
Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5. Transfer of 2 Grade A blastocysts on 9/15/13, and 10 embryos in the freezer! *****BFP on 9/25/13 - betas: @10dp5dt = 232; @12dp5dt = 465; @15dp5dt = 1,581 *********William George born June 4, 2014*********2. @KH826, while this isn't a pretty subject, I can't wait for next week's TTT - because then, you'll have past my loss date. I get so happy when someone passes 15w4d...just because I feel like I can finally trust and be excited 100% for you (based on my total fluke loss experience). Silly, but so glad you are so far along already!
3. I am (apparently) so nervous for beta, at least on the inside - I had two nightmares last night: 1) I sold 1/2 my house to my first gf and her wife and they were starting to move in with us (mind you, our house is 2bd, 1bath & 1000 sq ft), putting lame magazine pages on the ceiling (like I did in highschool) and photos of themselves all over the house. I couldn't imagine why I'd sold them half of my house!! But, I had. 2) This one is good... I was captured by terrorists and forced to forge documents for them. I was practically a character on Homeland. WTH???
4. We are SO SAD our chick we raised has turned out to be a dude. We thought she was maybe a gender dysphoric hen (yes, that happens) - but Jill did some research and we found some characteristics that are 100% Roo. So, he is crowing right now. And, we have to give him up (no roosters in the city due to noise)... fortunately I have a friend with a hobby farm who is going to take him. But we LOVE him and he is so pretty!! Dammit.
5. My other "home" - the Third Party Reproduction board - had a pregnancy explosion in the last two weeks - 7 BFPs, and one super rough, beta-hell loss. After the last big wave of all BFNs, it was really fun to do the check-in (which I run) and move 7 names to the "pregnant" section.
6. I am so hopeful my beta is good...after our c/p in July, I know an HPT means nothing really BUT it does mean more than a total BFN, which I got to experience in September. I think I'd rather this. But I'm hoping it's our take-home baby.
7. Ok, I'll say it out loud: I'm a little worried about @herbabymama - it's been a long while since she went to the hospital on Sunday. Sending good thoughts.
8. I cannot wait for this weekend when I have *absolutely no plans*!
9. My boss is in town which = mega more work than usual. I don't mind though, I heart him totally and baked him a batch of his favorite cookies (peanut butter blossoms with the hershey kiss) and got him a customized xmas ornament with his wife/kids names on it for Christmas. He doesn't need much, so effort/sentimental value is worth more than stuff.
10. Favor? PM me some ideas for GTKY questions! I feel like I'm getting lame - and we have some new folks so I may do some short & sweet repeats but I would love some ideas!
p.s. I'm all FX for @ball.and.chain's u/s tomorrow. I expect one heart-beatin' LO to be wiggling around on screen!! Loss milestones be damned!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!

1. So excited about the recently reported BFPs
2. DW is working from home today...its nice to have her home, but hard to not want to hang out with her all day.
3. Ultrasound Thursday!!!!
4. I started my bday gift to my DW today "The 12 days of Linda"...she will recieve her large gift (a mandolin) on the 23rd but until then she gets a small gift or coupon daily
5. I have NO idea what to get my dad for Christmas..this is generally the case, but it's annoying none the less.
6. DW felt the baby kick for the first time on Sunday! So exciting.baby is getting stronger by the day
7. I am taking two of my younger sisters to see the Nutcracker on Friday, I am looking forward to it.
8. I'm hoping to get through the rest of this week without getting too upset... The baby I miscarried was due Dec 13,so almost daily lately I have been thinking "would this have been the day baby would have arrived??"
9. I am loving this snow...I wanted to go for a walk down to the cafe but I am paranoid about slipping and fallingn...
10. We are having our annual gift wrapping party on Saturday.. Can't wait!
I really hope that she's just taking an K-imposed Bump break after a relatively easy delivery and that both parents and the baby are happy and healthy. But I'm worried. I'm glad you posted this so I could say I'm worried too.
We're queer. I'm 33, have severe stage 4 endo, and had both fallopian tubes removed. My love ("Manada" on the boards, 32) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tavin and Casey at 21 weeks gestation.
Our IUIs
with @Manada: IUI# 1-7 (December 2012- September 2013) all BFN. Tried natural, femara, clomid, puregon/follistim, clomid and menopur combo, both the ovidrel and HCG triggers.
Our IVFs:
IVF #1 my eggs November/December 2013: Cancelled IVF due to poor response
IVF #2 my eggs/Manada's uterus January/February 2014
BCPs and lupron overlap Stimmed: 1/22-2/2: Bravelle and Menopur (dosage ranged from B300 and M150 to B375 and M150 to B300 and M225)
2/4 retrieved 10 eggs. Endo was much worse than expected. Only 3 eggs fertilized; February 7 transferred two day 3 embryos, froze one. All great condition.
BFP eve of 6dp3dt; Beta 1 (11dp3dt): 110; Beta 2 (13dp3dt): 175; Beta 3 (15dp3dt): 348; Beta 4 (19dp3dt): 2222; Beta 5 (21dp3dt): 4255
1st ultrasound (3/6 6w 1d): TWINS!!!! Twin A measuring 6w1d with a heartbeat of 118bpm. Twin B measuring 6w0d with a heartbeat of 113bpm.
***July 18, 2014 we lost our beautiful babies at 21 weeks gestation. They were born too early. Tavin Sara T. and Casey Elizabeth T. are beautiful and precious and we will love them and miss them forever.***
FET #1 December 2014
Me - 30, My wife - 31 , Together for 10 yrs - Married August 2012
5 medicated IUIs w/ RE (March - July 2013) = BFN
Fresh IVF Cycle in September 2013 resulted in 18 mature eggs, 16 fertilized, 12 made it to day 5. Transfer of 2 Grade A blastocysts on 9/15/13, and 10 embryos in the freezer! *****BFP on 9/25/13 - betas: @10dp5dt = 232; @12dp5dt = 465; @15dp5dt = 1,581 *********William George born June 4, 2014*********@KH826 It's totally a New England saying. My Mom says it all the time, so now I do as well.
1. Agreed that it's so great to see all the positive news on this board! And I'm still new enough in my re-entry to activity here that I didn't know to be worried about herbabymama, but now I am! I will say though, right after I had Gabe I did find myself really overwhelmed. And getting on this board was difficult, to say the least. So I agree that we should assume that all is well.
2. I know it's just the beginning of the winter, but I'm already fed up with the cold and the snow. I don't know WHY I still live in MN! I know that one of these days I'm going to bite it while trying to get the carseat into my car. I've avoided it up until now, but it's coming.
3. S's birthday is Saturday and she has to work. I feel like this is contributing to both of our general crabbiness these days.
4. Gabe is sick AGAIN. Poor little guy couldn't breathe through his nose last night and kept waking up.
5. I really hate to admit it, but I'm getting to the point where I have to face facts that I hate my new job. I'm SO grateful for the lack of commute and reliable hours that came with this switch, but I hate feeling incompentant and useless. And the subject matter for the things that I AM accomplishing, is bone dry boring. I'm trying really hard to be positive about things, but sometimes in order to do that I need to admit/voice the negative so I can get past it.
6. I'm SO proud of our fur-babies and how well they are doing with Gabe. Our doberman has some aggression issues, but he clearly works really hard to be careful around the little guy. We never leave them alone together, and physically monitor all of their interactions (and always will), but it's really nice to only have to be vigilant rather than vigilant and terrified. And our kitty has finally forgiven us for bringing Gabe home and has decided to reinsert himself to his rightful place in the family. I LOVE my snuggle time with him and I'm so happy to have it back.
7. There, I found something positive to say today in #6.
8. I'm really glad that S doesn't have to work any evenings this week.
9. A great friend of ours finally announced her pregnancy publicly. I'm so happy for them, and also happy that I don't have to keep the secret any longer. I'm going to try to convince her to join this board too.
10. I wonder if Gabe will take some more steps this weekend?

2. I haven't heard from @herbabymama either. You can put me in the I'm-worried-but-hope-she's-just-spending-snuggly-time-with-her-healthy-baby camp.
3. @KH826, I am from New England and definitely have heard that phrase plenty of times. My own mother used to say "it's coming down like gangbusters." She was from western NY originally, but from what I can tell it came from a mid-century radio program, so that's probably not a local thing.
4. @2MamazinSeattle, thank you for your support -- I am trying to be positive! Of course as scary as loss milestones are, the comfort is that if all goes well, you find yourself on the other side of them! I am lucky that mine are all pretty early, which will hopefully make it a LITTLE easier to enjoy more of my pregnancy.
5. Work is BSC today.
6. BUT I finally got a good night's sleep, so I can handle BSC.
7. Due to my appointment(s) being in the middle of the day tomorrow, my boss offered to let me work from home, which we don't technically do. I love working from home (partly because my commute is the worst part of my job) and I'll get so much more work done tomorrow than if I was working from work. So that's something to look forward to...that and the possibility of seeing a healthy little baby at my ultrasound.
8. We're having a holiday party this weekend. I'm looking forward to it, but I'm also sort of exhausted just thinking about it.
9. Starting to get worried about gaining lots of weight...I don't know that I've even gained much (I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning to see), but I gain weight really easily and I have been sooo hungry and too tired to motivate myself to go to the gym. Plus holiday food is everywhere. I know I can lose whatever I gained after I have the baby, but I know significant weight gain isn't really healthy for either of us.
10. It's snowing here. I don't think we're supposed to get much, but I hope the evening commute isn't miserable because of it.
9 IUIs = 9 BFNs

Karyotyping: normal ~ RPL Testing: normal ~ Hysteroscopy: normal
FET #2: 1 blast transferred 10/25; BFP 10/31!
EDD 7/13/14 ~ Induced at 37w4d due to pre-eclampsia ~ Born on 6/28/14
*Everyone welcome*
2. Kaden is playing with blocks giving me a few minutes to start (and hopefully finish) TTT.
3. 20 weeks today!! Woohoo half way there.
4. Our tree is slowly getting decorated. EV made burlap bows with a sparkly ribbon accent last night. Our strand of lights didn't work so K and I will run to target today and Hopefully we'll finish the tree tonight. :-)
5. It's cold here and I'm not happy about it :-( I talked to my BFF yesterday and she's in Manhatten where it's in the teens and snowy. I feel silly complaining about 40 degree weather (during the day). But our windshield was frozen over this morning... And well I think I've lost my East Coast coping skills ;-) Brrrrrr.
6. I'm not sure how to get ready for this baby? I have most things including a nursery that K and baby will maybe share. I'm not taking a birthing class... But I feel like I should do something special to prepare a space for our son...
7. I have 2 assignments to submit today and then 2 more projects/papers and I'm done for the semester. My goal us to finish this weekend... It's ambitious but we'll see....
8. I feel really blessed lately. Life is good, it's warm inside, and I made brownies last night. The sun is shining into the playroom. Kaden is such an amazing little boy. I have so much to be thankful for. I've spent the last year wrapped in worry over various things (mostly financial to be honest). I'm hoping to start the New Year off differently. It's not that we won the lottery or anything but I just feel like I need to change my perspective.
9. Book reading break with Kaden - we read a ton each day :-)
10. Our internet was down yesterday so I've been waiting on the Comcast folks to show up. It's 12 minutes to 10 though so maybe their not coming?
2. I'm getting really irritated at the canon of "Queer fertility doesn't equal Infertility" - this isn't directed at this board at all, just another article that recently came out on LBG Infertility in a local IF-related magazine. That discourse makes me feel isolated, and also makes me feel like it blinds people to the fact that while not all queer people who access fertility clinics are infertile, we ARE all subject to the same (and often MORE) costs, stresses, and social impacts of dealing with Infertility. AND it makes me feel like those of us who ARE queer and struggling with infertility get lost in that discourse and the clinics don't really know how to support us at all.... (end rant).
3. I may have to write my own article on the above. Can I interview you @2mamazinseattle and @ball.and.chain?
4. I miss my work-wife who is on mat-leave. We spoke on the phone this morning about projects that will happen when she's back, and she expressed her eternal optimism that the IVF may work for us in January. And then we both cried because our goal last year was to actually have babies relatively close together, and she has her baby and we don't.
5. It's freezing cold in Canada today. -7 degrees Celsius with a windchill of -15 (Celsius). I don't know what this is on the Fahrenheit scale.
6. I'm going out for lunch with a friend today and can't wait!
7. I've totally been comfort eating lately, and am refusing to step on the scale as well. Yikes.
8. I'm worried that I'm not going to be healthy enough to carry a baby... but I'm also worried about everything these days.
9. This morning I heard that one of the RE's at our clinic (who I don't like) - told a friend of ours at her 10wk ultrasound that she best not cough/sneeze/poop too hard lest she "dislodge the embryo". That sort of statement makes me want to punch the dude.
10. I wanted to try to go to the gym this morning but totally didn't want to get out of bed. The bed won. I have no regrets.

1. As most of you know, I completed my master's program last night. It was such a great feeling and I appreciate all the nice words...you guys are awesome!
2. I'm starting to feel anxious about our holiday traveling. Last year we ended up in a ditch (luckily everything was okay and a REALLY nice person came and pulled us out...our angel wearing jeans if you will) so I am worried because the weather is so crappy...
3. Now that I am done with school I feel like I have SO much time! It feels really great!!!
4. I echo PP about @herbabymama...I am worried and hoping its just a break happening.
5. Tonight we are going to help at the local homeless shelter. This is our second time doing this and I really like it. I did a year of AmeriCorps in a homeless shelter so sometimes I miss the work. I am excited to go back and help!
6. I watch my niece during the day and she has been WILD today! The weather is bad so we haven't left the house...which apparently makes her not want to nap and also gives her cabin fever...silly girl.
7. We started our christmas shopping early this year but surprisingly (not really) we are not finished yet. I have no more weekends before christmas so I will be doing a lot of evening shopping...I love to start christmas shopping but not so much finishing it.
8. We have heard some positive news today regarding a potential free living situation. It has been out "in the universe" for about a year now but some bigger steps have been taken in the recent days. I don't want to jinx anything but this would be an awesome place to live and the most ideal situation for C and I to raise kids in this type of environment. Nothing for sure yet but its fun to think about!
9. C's birthday is this weekend and I am so excited to celebrate! There have been some kinks in the plan but hopefully the birthday plans in place will give my love an awesome birthday!
10. C and I's elves have not gotten their ornaments yet or at least haven't posted about it...I am getting worried because I sent them a week ago...

1. My brain hit a brick wall at about 4:15 today. I really just want to veg and do nothing.
2. I have so much to do at home...making me feel guilty about doing my TTT and wanting to veg.
3. I feel like I can never keep up with the house! I expressed this to C the other day, and asked what in the world we are going to do when we have a baby. I guess then we will at least have an excuse for a semi-messy house?...
4. We are supposed to get a lot of snow between now and Thursday. So far, nothing. C is 40 minutes away at work and they are getting slammed up there. I hope she makes it home safe.
5. I just want to be a homebody lately. I always have been one, but being with C has gotten me out of that. Since my surgery, I just want to be cozy at home all the time and relax.
6. I think we will finally order more vials tonight. We have been saying we need to, but haven't yet. I have narrowed down our new search to one donor, but I still want C to read his profile before we make the commitment.
7. Looks like I won't get much done tonight. C's cousin is on her way over so that I can talk to her about options regarding a situation she has going on.
8. I'm glad that @ball.and.chain was able to update us and let us know that @herbabymama and baby are doing well.
9. I need to figure out what to do for dinner. We keep saying we are going to plan ahead and make a menu, etc. So far, it hasn't happened.
10. Guess I better see what I can get done in the half hour before C's cousin gets here. Every little bit makes a difference in the long run!
Me: 30 DW (aka C): 29
Together since 2/15/11 ~ Legally married in NY on 9/29/12
***CP mentioned***
We've been working on baby #1 since July 2013 using Open ID donor sperm. 8 IUI attempts with 5 actual IUIs and one chemical pregnancy. We have one fresh IVF cycle under our belts as well as a FET. I have endometriosis and a uterine septum that was corrected via surgery in November 2013.
11/14/14 - Second HSG shows that tubes are still clear and ute is looking good.
12/6/14 - Started BCPs in prep for IVF #2
12/22/14 - Saline u/s and endometrial scratch (All was clear and OUCH!)
1/2/15 - Began stimming for IVF #2
****All Welcome!****
We are Mommas to four fur babies - 3 dogs and 1 cat.
Lesbian couple from SW Ontario, Canada | Me: 29 + 1 DF: 44 | Together 3.5 yrs, getting married in 2015 | TTC since Jun 2013

Jun 24/13: referral to Fertility Clinic ordered by gyne
Aug 15/13: initial consult with FS at Victoria Hospital Fertility Clinic, BW & HSG ordered
Aug 20/13: HSG shows one tube completely blocked, other tube slow to fill
Sep 18/13: FU w/FS re: HSG & BW. BW normal, laser laparoscopy & hysteroscopy ordered
Oct 11/13: Hysteroscopy, laser laparoscopy, & HSG determined I actually have a uterine septum and mild endometriosis, and that my tubes were never blocked! Septum and endo removed with laser during surgery. Post-op in 6 wks.
Nov 26/13: Post-op - fully healed with no complications; confirmed tubes are clear and septum and endo removed. Referred to Donor Insemination program.
2. Now I feel like I can post my TTT, but I am still checking regularly to see if HBM has posted any more info!
3. @Manada's elf was @firstcomeslove2013 and she sent us the best package of goodies along with the wonderful ornament. I will let M post the ornament picture and all the jazz.
4. We're watching Raising Hope right now; I love it.
5. Tomorrow morning we go to the clinic because it's M's day 2. I'm kinda hoping the doctor will suggest I go ahead and get an ultrasound, too, because I'm a little worried that I haven't ovulated yet and I want to get us on track to start our IVF cycle ASAP.
6. I'm struggling with the protein eating plan. Specifically I'm struggling with my resolve over the last several days. I'm good until mid afternoon. Then I'm not good. I guess I have to decide if I really want to do this for the chance that it will improve egg quality.
7. For the last two days I've done good work on my dissertation. This is the first time in months. I want to keep it up.
8. Our dog is being a major pain right now. I got up at 6:30am to take her to our old neighbor's back yard for a play with her best doggie friend, so I'm a little peeved that she's not rewarding me with good behavior right now.
9. I started working on one of M's Christmas presents tonight while she was working late. We're making presents for cheap for each other and I'm excited about it.
10. I'm crossing my fingers for @2mamazinseattle for tomorrow's beta!

1. I am much relieved by the @herbabymama news. I am excited to hear more in the future.
2. I feel much happier today than I have in a while.
3. One of my friends invited me to our local NHL team's game tonight... Last minute. A and I rarely go anywhere
seperately, but I said yes on a whim! Little did I know they were suite seats and they even had THEIR OWN BATHROOM, which is one of my least favorite parts of sporting events. It was so much fun... And spontaneous and unexpected. I am so grateful!
4. My birthday is Saturday. I will be turning OLD. Not so excited. I am excited to see my friends from back home.
5. I woke up at 3:00am and was totally awake until 7:00am. I watched some parks and Rec and then watched Pirates if the Carribean. Tonight I am desperate for sleep so I took a little sleep aid. I don't do this often, but sometimes it is necessary.
6. Saw my GP today to see if she could do anything for my sadness. She is adjusting my meds.
7. Our work holiday party is on Friday and I volunteered to be in charge of the games... I love leading adults in silly games!
8. I am so exited @healz413 and @manada got their package. We were sooo excited about sending it!
9. My puppy (okay, so he's 7) is staying with my parents over the hoooolidays. We are traveling so much and he DOES NOT travel
well. I miss his little pink nose so much! But I know he is happier there than making 17 trips up and down I-71.
10. Still over the moon happy for @2mamazinseattle. Can't wait to see those beta numbers!

2) My wife is ridiculously cute. She's already talking to my belly and won't let me lift anything more than five pounds. She even looks at my laptop bag suspiciously.
3) Super-stoked today because a woman from my church just handed down a crib, crib mattress, diaper genie, bushel o' cloth diapers, and some other random things today. I am all for not spending more money than necessary.
4) My mother's 60th birthday is at the end of the month and my younger brother just offered to spring for a ticket for me to fly out. As I am a grad student with limited "extra" income, I'm super stoked about that.
5) We are on day 7 of Icepocalypse in the DFW metro area. Can't believe there's still ice on the roads!
6) My six cats are also very sick of Icepocalypse because they're mostly had to stay inside.
7) My body has decided I need to wake up at least once in the middle of the night with an urgent need to pee every night for the last two weeks, and be unable to go back to bed for at least an hour.
8) The boobs, they are sore! Up about a cup size so far. Wife wants to know if we can keep them....
9) I am officially done with my coursework for my doctorate degree. I am only one dissertation and one year-long internship away from being Doctor! I told my dissertation chair that I really need her to ride my ass during the spring semester so that I can get proposed before LO appears.
10) I am currently watching Tremors for the 800th time, one of the best B horror movies of all time.
First BFP on 1/4/22. Due date 9/13/22.
