When did you let them start sleeping with a pillow?

what kind of pillow? what size?

How did you decide to let them have one?

I let LO sleep with a pillow after he turned one. He tosses and turns all the time and has a preference for how he sleeps, so I wasn't concerned that he'd suffocate or anything. He rarely uses it- every night when I check on him, it's on the floor. The pillow came with his bedding and is a small, cotton one.

At day care, he likes to fold up one of his fleece blankets and use that as a pillow on his cot. he never uses one at home only because he moves around too much in his crib.

we just started giving him a pillow in his crib. I didn't before only because he moves so much that I didn't think he would use it. He has like 10 stuffed animals in there

But he has started going to DC full time so I wanted him to get used to a pillow since he would need one for his cot. I just used a normal size pillow....one of our old ones that had gone sort of flat. He doesn't even really use it

Ds started shortly after turning one. He was making a pillow out of one of his blankets so I figured he might want/need one. We bought a toddler pillow that he never really used. Then he got one of those pillow pets from his grandma and one day he just took a nap on it so we put it in his crib and that's what he uses. He sleeps tummy down with butt in the air and head& upper torso on the pillow pet.

We gave DD one around 13 months or so. She uses it quite a bit, but not always. It's a regular standard pillow.

We just bought a toddler pillow from IKEA. We will give it to him next week when we finish his new room. We have to wait because I am going to make a cover for it and I haven't gotten around to it yet.

We also got the Ikea toddler pillow for her about 6 weeks ago. She initially lays on it when I put her in the crib but I often find it scrunched to the corner of the crib when I get her so who knows.

Regular pillow at 11 months. They went through a phase where they didn't like going in their cribs, and I noticed they liked to snuggle on my living room pillows.

I just recently put a pillow pet in there. He ignores it. Don't know if I put a thin toddler one in there if it would make a difference.

Our son balls up his blanket and uses that as a pillow.

I just recently let her use one because I noticed she would lay her head down on a stuffed animal and slept that way lol. Her pillow is just a small flat pillow.
