If my DH ends up with a job in a business environment (vs a business casual like he has now) he'll need more suits. If yours wear one every day, how many does he have?
I worked in a professional office for a few years before having LO. The men in the office usually wore shades of gray or blue. To me, black is uber-formal, so I'd rather do a light gray, a dark gray, and brown or blue. 3 is probably adequate to start. Joseph A. Banks is always having sales on them too. GL!
Start 2 or 3. If you are like me, It will probably be very tempting to buy more when you see a great sale and adding a fourth or fifth will be reasonable
He wears a suit and tie every day. His response below
I love this lol It's funny because I just remembered he got two more the other day. His brother outgrew them (lol) and gave them to DH. DH swore they wouldn't fit because he doesn't think he's as big as his brother was even a few years ago. He looked positively aghast when the jacket fit perfectly haha
@CL8badB he's an art teacher and there are a lot of art shows throughout the year. He also shows his own art occasionally and needs to wear a suit for opening.
DH wears a suit almost every day. He owns 7- most of which came from JC Penny's. They actually have really good sales around this time of year on their mens suits. He has maybe 30 different dress shirts in various colors and about 50 ties (many have been gifts from his colleagues)
Don't underestimate the power of a sports jacket either. Dhe thought he was going to need a bunch of suits and once he started working he realized a nice sports coat and dress pants were more the norm( and so much less expensive!)

My husband wears a suit everyday and looks damn sexy in it. I agree with PP and starting with 3 is a good idea. The look of the suit changes depending on your shirt and tie choice. My H has TONS of ties and dress shirts. I think he has around 8 or 10 suits right now but he's been wearing one everyday for 10 years.
Not a suit but he does have a uniform. He has about eight shirts and eight pairs of pants (and shorts for summer) and that's enough to give me time to wash them.
Re: Does your DH wear a suit to work?
I believe I heard on the radio yesterday that Jos. A Bank is having a buy one, get TWO free sale right now.
Our lil' diva: late like her Momma: 40 weeks 5 days!

Anyway, that's what he wears everyday.
I'm not new. I just hate The Bump.
