Where I grew up they say soda, where we live now they say pop, so depending on who I am talking to I switch back and forth, otherwise I get made fun of.

I've actually never heard someone say pop. Or coke in that way.

Around here, soda is soda, pop is a noise and coke is the devil's dandruff.

I also grew up near Philly and went college (and now live) in Pittsburgh. Yes it's a battle, that's why I have to use both.
