Hello ladies..cautious intro & questions!

Hey ladies...I was going to wait to come over here until after my 2nd beta tomorrow but I have myself worried sick and need to ask a couple questions to see what you all have/had experienced.  I am currently 12dp3dt and got my first bfp on Friday and had my 1st beta yesterday at 11dp3dt and it came back at 122 which they said was great.  I am just super concerned well for the obvious reasons but also I have made the mistake of testing every morning to see the line get darker.  The past few days it did get darker but just very slightly each day and tomorrow was no darker than yesterday's which is almost as dark as the control line.  Everything I have read on the evil internet has said not to overlook this but I can't help but worry.  

I also have lost most of my symptoms (most likely pio) except for my sore boobs and of course that has me super concerned.  So needless to say I have already assumed the worst and am expecting bad news after beta 2 tomorrow.  Any insight from your own experiences would be appreciated.  Man I hate IF brain :(

    Sadly there is nothing you can do but wait. With my cp my line got darker but with this PG there was one day (fourth day testing) where it looked lighter. As for symptoms some days are worse than others. You just have to wait and try to not drive yourself nuts.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD. 
    IUI#1&2&3 (2011 & 2012) BFN
    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)
    IUI#5 BFN (April 2013)

    It is so hard to analyze all of this. Im jusy terrified its too good to be true. I just want to know everything is ok.

    @thosethreewords i am hoping it will be our babymoon!! And why cant we just have ms when we want it? :(

    first congrats and welcome! 

    second put the pee sticks down and walk away! I dont understand why woman keep testing to see if it gets darker. They are only meant to tell you if you are pregnant and I would agree with if they get lighter and disapear then I would be concerned but my pee test right before beta was not dark at all. I know its hard but pee test are just emotional mind jerks. Think positive and have hope that everything is alright. praying your next beta is great!

    I have done the whole daily poas thing before and its really hard to tell if they are getting darker. If you are going to keep doing it skip a few days in between it makes it easier to tell the difference. For thud pregnancy I did a poas a few times but it was like every 3rd or 4th day. I mainly did it because I didn't get a 2nd beta. Good luck!

    It's so hard to wait. I was a nervous wreck with my betas and my doctor made me wait 5 days in between each one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought with pregnancy tests that a line is a line and it doesn't necessarily have to get darker depending on the type of test you use. 

    As far as symptoms go, I think they come and go because of hormone fluctuations.

    Wall away from the pee sticks. Symptoms come and go throughout your entire pregnancy. The only hard evidence is betas and u/s. today you are pregnant so enjoy it and save the analyzing to your next beta number.

    My symptoms came and went in the beginning a lot. Just consider yourself pregnant and enjoy it! I know that's easier said than done, though. I hope you get great news! I wouldn't pee anymore either, just messes with your mind!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

    1st Pregnancy: MC, 11/19/00.

    2nd Pregnancy: DS born 04/10/06.

    3rd Pregnancy: CP, 03/11.

    4th Pregnancy: MMC, D&C 11/30/11, Genetic testing revealed Trisomy 4.

    5th Pregnancy: Ectopic, 2 doses of Methotrexate unsuccessful, surgery 4/10/12, right tube removed.

    Tried Letrozole January 2013-July 2013 (including 2 IUIs), all BFN.  After 2 1/2 years of trying for child #2, decided to "give up" after July cycle, based on AMA.

    August 16, 2013:  BFP our first month of "not trying!"  Still in shock.  Beta #1 (14dpo): 183.  Beta #2 (17dpo):  611.  Ultrasound 8/30/13: baby measured 6 weeks, 1 day, heart rate of 118 bpm! 
    Ultrasound 9/13/13:  8 weeks, heart rate of 176!
    Baby is due 4/26/14

    I'm going to echo pp and tell you to either stop testing or just test every couple of days. Those sticks are evil!!!

    You all are so right.  I am not testing anymore...although beta # 2 is tomorrow so I shouldn't have tested today.  Just have so many mixed emotions and so afraid to hear bad news.

    I'm so happy to see you here!  Congrats!
    I also say put the pee sticks away.  Beta is really your only reliable indicator that you're going in the right direction.  But I will say that sore/heavy boobs were the only symptom I had before beta and until I was 6 weeks (when ms showed up).
    Keep us posted on beta #2!

    welcome to the board and good luck with 2nd beta. i wouldn't overthink the color of the lines......a line is a line  - doesn't matter how dark they are.

    Welcome! My symptoms come and go depending on the time of day. Also as pp have said hormones fluctuate throughout the day & different tests may have different amounts of dye in them. A line is a line. Put down the per sticks and try to stop worrying :)

    I seemed to have more symptoms a couple of days after my FET than a week or 2 after. I agree with everyone else, stop peeing and best of luck with your second beta!!!

    Thanks for talking sense into me ladies..no more testing! I gave dh a scolding too because he is the one who has just been bringing them home and telling me to test...I think he now regrets that after seeing my freakout today.

    I'm so happy to see you over here! Just breathe, everything is fine and you are pregnant! Yay! IF brain takes over sometimes, it's ok, just don't let the fear steal your happiness. The worrying really never ends. Even once the babies get here, we'll still be worried about something!

    You had a nice strong 1st and 2nd beta! Before the u/s it's normal to get worried but just have faith that all will be ok and you'll see a beautiful little happy baby in there :)
