Re: ~*~*MSPI Moms Weekly Check In~*~* 12/9
1. How are you doing? How is your LO doing? We're ok, DS got a cold this weekend and now I have it. His face is breaking out, which the allergist said would probably happen whenever he was sick as it revs up his immune system. Tummy-wise, though, he's ok.
2. Are you making any special MSPI-friendly Christmas treats? I have not got this far in my planning yet, but thought I'd throw it out there for you over-acheivers.
3. Dealing with MSPI can be very stressful. What do you do to relieve stress? I aim to do 15-30 min of gentle yoga once/week. I also use deep breathing, visualization, and progressive relaxation as needed, and I try to go out with friends or take some time for myself about once/month. I haven't been running because I don't have a lot of extra calories to burn, but just going on short walks to get some fresh air is helpful. I find gardening and cooking relaxing too.
4. Any other burning questions you'd like answered or experiences to share? Not today!

2. Are you making any special MSPI-friendly Christmas treats? I think gingerbread cookies can be made dairy, egg, soy free so maybe those. I'd love to do sugar cookie cut outs bc I have really cute Christmas cutters, but I don't know if it would work dairy, soy, egg free.
3. Dealing with MSPI can be very stressful. What do you do to relieve stress? Clean lol
4. Any other burning questions you'd like answered or experiences to share? See #1 please. Dyt it means I can have soy and he can tolerate it through my milk, but not directly?
2. I've never done fondue, but the Enjoy Life choc chips melt really easily, I bet you could just use those! If some sort of milk is needed you could probably sub a plant milk.
3. From what I've read, I think the only treatment is allergy meds. I have very fair skin, especially under my eyes, so my veins have always been visible there. Sometimes people would think I had a black eye.
2. Have not got that far!
3. I'm horrible at stress relieving. I have horribly tight back muscles. So I try hot baths and some yoga to relieve it. And go to the chiropractor or massage therapist occasionally. Sometimes I just need to "zone out" so the bump and TV help me with that.
4. Nothing burning this week.
2. I haven't thought that far ahead. I'm working on planning our road trip to get to my parents' house for Christmas. It's a 14 hr drive, and I'm trying to get an idea of some safe restaurants that we can eat at on the way up.
3. I drink a glass of wine at night and eat chocolate. Sometimes I just get upset and have to just be upset for a little bit. I went to a Christmas party and could eat very little, so that was miserable. I was really upset after that. Christmas is going to be tough.
4. Does your LO also react to goats or sheep's milk products? Also, what is a typical age for trying to reintroduce something like cheese to your diet? DS is only 2 months so I imagine it will be a few months. But I was just curious.
I want pizza. Greasy, cheesy pizza. That is all! Haha!
