Fever and Rash?

N has had a fever since yesterday. It goes down with Tylenol/Advil and then comes back. This morning I noticed it looked like he had a diaper rash- He rarely gets diaper rash and never like that. It usually just gets red. So I put some cream on it thought nothing more really. Changed his diaper later and it spread to his legs and his stomach.
I know he is teething- his bottom molars are half in so I'm sure that is some of it. Do kids sometimes get rashes with teething too though? I'm taking him in his pedi tomorrow if I can get in but figured I'd check here first tonight. He's been so warm and irritable all weekend, it hasn't been fun at all. I'm just starting to wonder if it is something else.

    My kid tends to get rashes and fevers when she gets new teeth. I have noticed that the only stuff that helps with teething rash is triple paste, the others make it worse or give no improvement.

    I'm curious about this as well - we're doing some ridiculous teething right now, and P has spots all over her bum. It almost looks like her tush has chicken pox - and while she does have the runs, it's nowhere near the business area.

    If the molars that are half out now come through in the next few days, she'll have gotten 9 teeth in just over two weeks. Insanity.

    He has fifth disease. Which is basically a virus that you can't do anythinga bout. Poor guy.

    Thanks. I hope he feels better soon. I've stayed home with for 2 days and it's been a tough 2 days!
