Maybe I was slap happy at my appt. this morning, but I enjoyed this bit of trivia (and it's too fun to say), so I'm passing it on.

I got bored waiting for the midwife, and started looking around the room. This is how I learned the official name of the blood pressure tester...

"Sphygmomanometer".

I've heard of that word before but never knew what it was. I thought it was something completely different.. like something that would go IN you :S
