What a week on our board!! I rarely get to move so many people at once to the pregnant section! While not everyone has had a beta or u/s, we have 7 (seven!!!) new pregnancies. It's about time. And, that said, I think all of us are heartbroken for our friend @stinkerbell6879. Hugs to you! Many of us totally get what you are going through and we are here for you.

If you haven't checked in lately please do - I'm going to remove people who never check in next week just to keep the list tidy!

Well I didn't do a separate post because last night was the first super solid proof...but I got a BFP!!! Wondfo's were showing a uber faint line on Saturday evening (5dp5dt) but by last night, there was a solid second line on a FRER!! Beta is Wednesday and I'm everything crossed for good news - but now finally feeling a little crampy which from last year's pregnancy feels about right. YAY!

I am in a bit of shock, I don't think I honestly considered this could/would work!

QOTW: I love heat miser/snow miser, a Year without a Santa Claus (land of misfit toys!) and It's a Wonderful Life (which I never saw until I was in my 30's. What was wrong with my parents!?).

Update: well after finding out that I probably had 2 different blood-clotting disorders now I'm being told that that's probably not the case and that my early positive tests were skewed by hCG still in my system or something. My last round of testing from last week came back negative. So although I am happy to find out that I don't have these disorders, I am disheartened to think that my failed transfers and m/c are just bad luck. I am not sure what we'll do now, DH and I need to sit down and talk it through I suppose.

QOTW: I've never seen It's a Wonderful Life either, so maybe I should watch it sometime! I always like The Charlie Brown Christmas Special. And The Christmas Story too.

How is it going? What are your next steps? How are you feeling?
I'm still cautiously excited about being KU. My u/s is exactly one week from today. I'm trying to relish in everything for now but i have a feeling that the closer I get to next Monday, the more of a wreck I'll be. I'm scared we won't see a heartbeat and my world will come crushing down around me. Trying to shove that thought out of my mind though.

How's it going? We are in process with the legal contract for our GC, otherwise in a holding pattern for another 72 days...

How are you feeling? Pretty down this week. The EDD for our second m/c was around this time and the holidays are getting us down. I am also having anxiety about our FET since the last FET, our embryos didn't survive the thaw.

I'm sooooo happy for @2mamazinseattle! I'm also very happy for all the other good news on this board, but I know 2mamaz from our LGBTparenting board and have for a year now.

Check-in:
I'm feeling ok. It has been 9 days since our cycle got cancelled and I feel ok about it now. I'm anxious for January and feel less sure about my eggs now because of my poor response the first time around. But I'm enjoying some time now without clinic visits.
@Manada and I went for a walk with the dog this morning before work, which was lovely. And we've been cleaning our apartment and doing the remainder of the unpacking since we moved in October. So that feels really good. And I've got some goals for work on my dissertation over the next few weeks and I am hopeful about making some good progress after almost 3 months of very little dissertation work (other work, but not diss work).

Next steps: We are waiting for M to get her period. Then we will go in on day 2. I think that she will be starting on BCPs so she can sync with my cycle, but I'm not entirely sure. Then we will wait for my day 2 (which hopefully will be in the next 2 weeks) and we'll go in to start me on BCPs and to pick up my lupron which I'll start on day 8 of BCPs.

QOTW: I grew up with "Christmas Story." I am a sucker for "Love Actually."

Just chugging along. DH and I have to travel separately for this cycle. So I have to do the ET by myself:-(. Since I've always had bad embryos, ET days have always been very sad and I'm nervous to have it happen again and have to travel on a plane by myself. But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do so big girl panties it is ! Favorite movie: Christmas vacation for comedy and Its a wonderful life for "feel good" movie.

Congrats to the BFPs...which for once includes ME!! lol

I had some spotting on Friday so my RE moved my beta up to today. I hadn't planned on POAS early but the spotting freaked me out. I was shocked to see that HPTs can actually make 2 lines and it's not a myth! My beta was drawn at a freestanding LabCorp location so I might not get the results till tomorrow.

Check in: Our surrogate got her official medical clearance last week and we have started getting the legal aspect of things in order. Our agency is giving all lawyers involved a deadline of Dec 27th to get things done - that means the parentage agreement will be finalized by then, not just drafted. Our surrogate could start her meds as early as the end of Dec/beginning of Jan. I am starting to feel like this might actually happen and my hopes are up just a bit that we may someday have a child.

QOTW: I love the Charlie Brown Christmas and Garfield Christmas. Those are definitely my favorites.

Congrats to 2mamaz as well as all the other BFPs! It's great to see so many positives. Bug hugs to Stinkerbell and Strudel, you are both very strong women and will get through your pains. I've started BCP and will be starting lupron on 12/13 with an estimated thaw date of 1/10! It will be here in no time. I love Christmas Story, National Lampoons, and almost all the Christmas specials!

@DoublePortion I get my draws done at LabCorp too and as long as they are ordered stat, we get the results within 4 hours or so. It depends what time their specimen pickup is. Do you know it if was ordered stat?

Congrats on all those BFPs! Woohoo! I am doing my first IUI with my next period using donor sperm. We are expecting to have the back-to-back done Xmas eve and Xmas day given my expected CD1.

QOTW: I love Home Alone and Miracle on 34th St. is my favorite. DH insists on watching National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation every year and I've realized he is exactly like Chevy Chase.. tries too hard and fails epically when he fails at something.

Hi guys,

I wanted to introduce myself. I've been over on the Infertility board for a few months, but it looks like I may be moving to this one soon. A brief background- I have what my RE thought was a unicornuate uterus, but now it looks like it may be a more complicated uterine abnormality. We had one failed IVF round, and we have a few frozen embryos from that. My RE said today he would not recommend another transfer, b/c it seems unlikely that I could get pregnant or sustain a pregnancy. I have many questions, but the RE thinks we should go ahead and move onto a GC.

We are hoping my husband's sister will be our GC but have not approached her about it. I have no idea how to start that conversation, so any tips would be appreciated.

We most likely will take a little break from things in the meantime. Not ready to broach the subject w/ my SIL before Christmas.

Wow - so much action on the board!

What's up with me? We had our U/S on Saturday & saw a perfect little heart beat. I couldn't keep from crying for the next hour or so :-) We will have another ultrasound later this week & then likely released to the OB (which is NUTS to me).

Favorite Holiday show = How the Grinch stole Christmas (I watched it yesterday) & Frosty the snowman!

So excited to see all the new BFP's! I think I get more excited now for all of you than I was for myself!

AFM: I am closing in on the end and getting nervous but so excited. The NST's have been an ordeal, though. My BP was spiking yet again this morning so I got my medication upped and they were able to get it back down. I also had protein in my urine last week and have started swelling a bit so I think I am slowing getting into pre-e territory. We are just praying to make it to at least 37 weeks but aren't expecting to go much farther so we could very well have a Christmas baby!

Favorite Holiday Show: Definitely a Charlie Brown Christmas. and a Christmas Story is always very nostalgic for me since it would be on all day whenever we had Christmas with my mom's family.

We are so surprised that we're at this point, but we are going to get to be there for our gestational carrier's ultrasound on Friday! We're flying across the country this week with the hope that we will see a heartbeat! We'll be 7w2d. My parents don't know yet, and we're planning on seeing them later that day so we can tell them the news. We both know we have a long way to go, but we are really excited!

We love Christmas show around here, but my favorite is probably How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

Christmas movies? Well apart from the classics already mentions, I love the claymation Rudolph and, for some reason, The Santa Clause, a hysterical Tim Allen comedy that has aged surprisingly well.

Well, short update for me....I'm officially 6 weeks tomorrow!!! It's been so exciting since I found out I was pregnant and I'm just so happy!!! DH and I are leaving for the Bahamas tomorrow morning and a nice relaxing vacation is definitely needed! Only sucks that I can't do rock climbing, wind surfing or swim with the dolphins (all of which we had planned before I was pregnant). I'm super excited for that and I'm so happy for all those with BFP's. @stinkerbell: My heart is going out to you. I hope you find your peace with what you went through quickly and painlessly...

Emailed the DE coordinator today and she said we could get our $ back except the non-refundable part since it will be awhile before we find a donor and cycle. Super sad at this whole process. MH not happy either but I told him this is what we get for not choosing another clinic. It's no ones fault but ours. It will be 3 years in March of just testing..waiting..testing and waiting. Will be 46 yrs old in May and I so wish I could take that $ and stop this process but when I think of it I get emotional and the tears start. Blah...How on earth do you ladies do all of this. You are all pretty amazing

QOTW: Some of my favs are Frosty, Santa Claus Coming To Town and Shrek Christmas. Also love watching Lifetime/Hallmark at Christmas time!! Actually I love them all.

AFM: Good second u/s today at my first OB appointment at 8w3d. The little one is measuring a day ahead and has a nice regular heartbeat of 170 bpm! I am so relieved. I haven't had many symptoms the past few days and was totally freaking out. Now no u/s until the NT scan on January 6, though -- it's going to be a long wait.

AFM: I got lots lots going on and a bit overwhelmed... It deserves it's own post so I will do so right after this. Me and DH are doing great he is recovering from his elbow and carpal tunnel surgery and bugging me to boot! But I love him.
Hoping to get my official calendar in the mail with times of all my appointments tomorrow and I ordered most of my meds today and paid for them now just send off the lab money check and this cycle is a go. I've been doing the BCP thing and getting less bitchy by the day. And ready for Christmas. Happy holidays!!!!!

How is it going? What are your next steps? How are you feeling?
Meh. I am slowly doing better. Things went fine with my d&c and so far doesn't seem like there should be any complications. We are back at square one, and even when we do get the go ahead financially/emotionally, we are going to have to wait awhile since I have burn through SO MUCH vacation/sick time that I need to sit down with my boss or office manager to see how I can work out the time off. Thank goodness it's not much and they have been wonderful, but I don't want to take advantage of that either;)

Christmas Vacation! and as a kid I loved the original cartoon version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

@brooklynsque thanks but this is where we have to stay unfortunately and I did explain to MH that all of this that is happening is because of our choices we made. Didn't realize there would be setbacks! I don't want to start over at 46 with another clinic...this is our 2nd and this is the least expensive for us. Thanks for thinking of me and yes I guess I can't really complain
