This holiday we are travelling and in the past our son has always slept in a pack and play. However, he is getting a bit too big to sleep in it for a week. What have you done for your LO to sleep at night when a crib isn't an option?
We have a "Go Crib" that we use whenever we travel. I don't think Guava Family makes them anymore though.. They came out with a new product (Lotus Everywhere Crib). If this something you would use often, it might be worth the investment.. but, if it's only for a one time use, maybe other's suggestions would make more sense.
My son doesn't fit in his PNP anymore and, even worse, could tip it over (which we found on out while on vacation). He ended up in bed with us, which was miserable for my husband and me, so we got one of these for future trips:
It travels really well and packs quite small. It takes regular crib sheets, which is nice. It also comes with a good air pump that was super handy for blowing up inflatable pools, too.
I second the Shrunks inflatable toddler mattress. DD didn't outgrow the pack n play, she just didn't sleep well in it so we decided to try this when she was 15 months old. It's been awesome. She was sleeping on a cot at daycare so it wasn't all that different for her but being it was at night we weren't sure she'd stay in it. She did stay in it to go to sleep. I will say the first couple times we woke up in the middle of the night and she had scooted half off the end of the bed, but we just put her back and it was fine. Now at 22 months she's a pro and barely moves in it at all.
