Pregnant after a Loss

Time is creeping by - ideas for staying busy?

I don't know about all of you, but each day feels like months for me right now as I wait for my next appointment and the next milestone that might assure me that there's reason for hope.

What do you all do to stay busy and focused on other things?

I do work, so that helps a bit, but I am finding myself so distracted by pgal thoughts.

Re: Time is creeping by - ideas for staying busy?

  • I have felt that way off and on for almost 9 months, and now that I have less than two weeks to go (hopefully), it's still creeping by. But I think you just do it. You live life. Make plans with friends. Take a walk. Take a nap. Lots of naps. Ha ha. The time will go by. And the pgal thoughts will come and go, and that's just normal. Try to enjoy your growing baby and belly whenever you can. :)

  • I agree--stay busy! Crafting is great. You can do no sew blankets. They are easy but take ages. :) you should also take the time to pamper yourself. A manicure might be in order?

  • I worked on our house, in ways that I could, hung out with friends, read a lot. Once school picked up for me it was easier lol, but um taking next semester off so I'm going to try and make a quilt for this LO.

  • I like the idea of something crafty. I don't usually do projects like that, but I think keeping my hands busy could help me feel more zen right now.

I have my grandmother's sewing machine, but I have never really learned how to sew. Maybe a few simple sewing projects to start would feel good.

Oh, and I also started writing a novel during National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November, but I didn't get very far. My new goal is to finish it before my EDD, so I need to set aside a couple of evenings a week to write.

  • I have been struggling with this was well.  I don't work outside the home so, keeping busy is always a challenge.  I've been reading and just trying to keep up with house work. And for the most part, forcing myself to not think about this pregnancy too much.  I try to allow myself some time on TB everyday but thats about it. Maybe some crafty projects would be a good idea for me too!

    Yay for writing!

If you have a sewing machine a quilt is actually pretty easy since it is all just squares and rectangles.
