I just found out I am around 4/5 weeks pregnant. We lost our baby July 26th at 18 weeks and had to have an induced miscarriage in the hospital. Our baby was diagnosed with UPD4 a rare chromosomal disorder that is a 1 in a million and even more odd was the fact I didn't naturally misscarry in early pregnancy because of the chromosomes not lining up correctly when that is what most of my research has indicated babies miscarrying from.
Every doctor we spoke with said it is rare that this would reoccure and was nothing we caused or could have prevented. It was considered a fluke and nothing passed to our baby from either of us. Even with this news we are still nervous. I feel much more at peach with this pregnancy than I did in the beginning with the last. I never felt at peace last time and new the whole time something was going to be wrong.
Any encouragement/advice would be appreciated as we start this journey again.

It's hard not to worry. I am a little more than 5 weeks along, and the nervousness is definitely there. Someone else gave the advice to take it one day, one test and one milestone at a time - and I like that a lot. For me, my second beta test had doubled, and I take comfort in that.
That sense of peace you said you have is a good sign, too. Enjoy that feeling, and take it one moment at a time.

Thanks guys. Of course the internet is the worse thing to sit on when you have fears or worries. Usually googling something for peace of mind ends up working against you. You all have been great though!
