PCOS & Low sperm count & history of testicular cancer

My man & I have an appt Friday with a fertility doc. I was diagnosed with PCOS & do not have regular periods as well as cysts on ovaries. Plus my man had testicular cancer & now has only one testicle. we are planning on getting his sperm checked. He went through Chemo a few years ago & had to store his sperm in a sperm bank. Docs said back then he had a low sperm count. I am nervous to see if he still does or if he even has viable sperm (the Chemo could have killed them all). As far as my treatment plan, I'm not really sure what the next step is. Anyone have any advise or have a similar story? I got off BC in Oct 2012 & have been TTC since.

Sorry that you're going through this. When you say an appointment with a "fertility doctor" do you mean an Ob or a RE? With all the factors involved in your case you should definitely be working with a RE.

Thanks for the advise. I didn't know the answer so I looked him up and it looks like he is an RE! Yay!

I am going to Dr. Craig with the Fertility Treatment Center in AZ. He is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility and Ob/Gyn. I did have another OBGYN and I did not like him at all.

I am actually really excited for this appointment. I am hoping I will finally get some of the answers I need. Plus they encourage my fiance to come along and they will be able to test the both of us at the same clinic. :-)
