We haven't bd in a week and we finally just did. Not long and not rough but there was a little pink that came out. (Sorry tmi). Is that ok?!

  • It's probably ok. I think about 20% of people have some spotting in the first 12 weeks. Just call your doctor if there's bright red blood or enough to require a pad.

  • It's normal. I had a bit of spotting after intercourse when I was 9 weeks. I was worried (PGAL brain) but the spotting didn't continue so my mind was put to ease. Just like @maebb said call your doctor if you have bright red blood.
  • Light pink spotting, especially after intercourse is common. Your cervix is a lot more sensitive now, and was probably just irritated.

  • My doctor says it's normal
  • No experience but I've heard that spotting with sex is pretty common. There's a lot more blood vessels in there now

  • Same thing happened to me yesterday it has stopped.  Thank god my first OB appointment is at 8:20am tomorrow or I would be at the Drs/ER today because I'm freaking out a liltte(PGAL).
  • My OB told me sex was okay and it's typical through the first 12-16 weeks you'll see minor spotting. This is only because your cervix is soft and stretchy and tender and applying any pressure or messing with it at all will cause some spotting.

Nothing at all to worry about. My DH and I are so on the same page with the whole sex thing now since I've been pregnant. A littlw spotting every now and then ain't no big thing.
  • I know it's scary but it's so very common. I'm avoiding sex just for that reason. And not because it will cause you to miscarry, it won't. But I just worry way too much after a loss so I could completely get your concern. But I agree with PP, it's normal after intercourse. Call your dr if concerned but it'll probably stop in no time. Hugs!!
